Film Room: 2024 Prospects & Below, Pt I

<p>The Film Room series continues with a look at the 2024 prospects and below in the state of North Carolina. Here's a look at Part I.</p> <h5>Manny Johnson | 5'10 Guard | 2024 | West Craven</h5> <p><strong>Manny Johnson</strong> will be a new face in the high school ranks at West Craven. He's a quick guard that can space the floor with his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter and get to the paint and finish in traffic. He's a smooth operator that's finding his way using his length and high IQ.</p> <h5>Tedrick Wactor | 6'3 Forward | 2024 | West Craven</h5> <p><strong>Tedrick Wactor</strong> is an emerging forward prospect that runs the floor well and does well to finish around the rim. He's a solid roll-man in the pick-and-roll game and does well to give his guards lanes to pass him the ball. He's an active face in the paint that will be a solid addition at West Craven. </p> <h5>[player_tooltip player_id="1062166" first="Charles" last="Matheka"] | 5'9 Point Guard | 2024 | East Carteret</h5> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1062166" first="Charles" last="Matheka"] is a 5-foot-9 point guard that's slowly finding his way as a sharpshooter on the perimeter and distributor. He's got strong handles and a nice touch on his stroke from deep which allow him to keep the defense guessing. As he grows, look for him to become a name at East Carteret. He's got tremendous upside in the 2024 class.</p> <h5>Jayden Williams | 5'10 Shooting Guard | 2024 | Pamlico High</h5> <p><strong>Jayden Williams</strong> is a big guard prospect at 5-foot-10 with a solid frame and shoulders. He spaces the floor well with his ability to set his feet and knock down shots on the perimeter. He's got solid handles as well that allow him to handle the ball with either hand and finish with either in the paint. He'll be an emerging shooter to watch at Pamlico High.</p> <h5>Cole Jernigan | 5'11 Guard | 2024 | East Carteret</h5> <p><strong>Cole Jernigan</strong> was a strong piece in the backcourt this summer for the [program_tooltip program_id='2078488' first='Eastern' last='Carolina Phenomz']. He's not afraid to get to the paint and finish in traffic or play the passing lanes and create turnovers on opponents. He's not afraid to run the floor and find avenues for tough finishes down low and has crisp passing ability as well.</p> <h5>Adam Grier | 5'11 Guard | 2026 | Ledford Middle </h5> <p><strong>Adam Grier</strong> is a 2026 prospect with a ton of upside as a driver and finisher in the paint. He battles in the paint for boards and looks to compete on the defensive end as well. He also plays up on the 2024 stage with CSB Elite which should serve him well when the high school years arrive. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
