<p>Cape Fear Academy Senior PG <b>[player_tooltip player_id="1006289" first="Gavin" last="Guion"] </b>was a bright spot for his squad on Day 1, leading the team in scoring with 17 Points. As a team they got to a slower start but he was one of the players that brought some offense to help them to stay within striking distance. </p>
<p>Carolina Forest Senior Wing/Forward <b>Mark Walker</b> stepped in and provided some perimeter shooting for his team. He didn’t waste any time, knocking down a trey ball as soon as he checked in the game.</p>
<p>A player that grabs your attention almost immediately when he steps on the floor is Carolina Forest Junior Forward J<b>onah Nesmith</b>. He’s a legit 6’6 with a long wingspan and plenty of upside in his game. His numbers from their matchup at GDS won’t scream at you but his upside is clear.</p>
<p>GDS Junior Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="848080" first="Michael" last="Zanoni"]</b> didn’t have his typical day shooting wise from outside but he still found a way to make an impact. He has good size for a college SG prospect to go along with his textbook shooting form. You have to like the fact that when his jumper isn’t falling, he still finds ways to impact the game.</p>
<p>You won’t find too many youngsters that play the game with a higher motor than CFCA Junior Wing <b>[player_tooltip player_id="787670" first="Amari" last="Pearson"]</b>. Regardless of what the score or situation may be, he’s going to give max effort to make plays on both ends of the court.</p>
<p>One of the better athletes that we saw the entire day, Grays Collegiate Senior Wing <b>Timothy Barnes</b> made plenty of plays above the rim. He gets off the floor quickly and isn’t afraid to put his body on the line to make plays for his team. </p>
<p>First Baptist Junior Guard <b>Adonis Cole</b> is a player that does a bit of everything for his team when he’s on the floor. Scoring, rebounding and facilitating are all things we saw from him in their matchup on Day 1.</p>
