Conference Preview: Bootheel Conference
<p>Prep Hoops Missouri continues its conference previews with a look at the Bootheel Conference, a group of good small school programs down in the Southeast part of the state. Malden, Campbell, Hayti, Portageville and Caruthersville are all teams that will compete in the league race.</p>
<h4>Earl’s Preseason Starting Five</h4>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="984320" first="Blake" last="Fowler"] 6’0" Campbell: A 2021 guard who is already one of the school's all-time leading scorers. Averaged 27 points a game as a junior.</p>
<p>Drew Irby 5’10" Portageville: A 2021 guard who earned All-Conference honors after averaging 17 points, six rebounds and four assists as a junior.</p>
<p>Coy Wade 6’0" Malden: A 2021 guard who returns after earning All-Conference honors after leading the team in scoring as a junior.</p>
<p>Trayvon Thomas 6’2" Hayti: A 2022 guard who earned All-Conference honors as a sophomore. Can score in bunches and from all three levels.</p>
<p>Brandon Fonda 6'4" Caruthersville: An explosive 2021 wing player who is capable of putting up points in bunches while turning in a highlight reel play. </p>
