Blum was a key player for the Rams 2018 state title team as a freshman, and has been a dominant force the last few years. He’s capable of stretching the floor but is at his best when he’s dominating defenders on the block. He averaged 19.7 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists a game last year.

[player_tooltip player_id="796119" first="Dylan" last="Johnson"] (Western Dubuque, 2021)

A 6-6 stretch-four, Johnson is capable of scoring inside and out. He’s got a smooth stroke from the arc and is also a solid playmaker and passer. He averaged 15.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists last year.

[player_tooltip player_id="796121" first="Kyle" last="Kelley"] (West Delaware, 2021)

A 6-4 guard who handles it well and can fill it up from all three levels, Kelley should be more efficient this year with much more experienced players around him. He averaged 14.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists last year but shot just 38% from the floor. Look for his numbers across the board to go up this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="796155" first="Andrew" last="Formanek"] (Clear Lake, 2021)

The 6-6 forward runs the floor at a high level and does a great job outworking the opposition on both ends of the floor. His activity level is fantastic, and he’s constantly doing things on both ends to help the Lions win. He averaged 15.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks a game while shooting 67% from the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="964800" first="Alec" last="Dreckman"] (Le Mars, 2021)

Dreckman is a pure scorer who can fill it up from all three levels. He averaged 15.0 points with 51-41-83 shooting splits last season for the Bulldogs.

[player_tooltip player_id="784990" first="Parker" last="Elder"] (Pella, 2022)

The 6-4 wing is an absolutely explosive athlete who will provide highlight-reel plays on a nightly basis on both ends of the floor. He averaged just 5.7 points and 3.0 rebounds last year, but is primed to have a breakout junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id="784978" first="Dawson" last="Forgy"] (Winterset, 2022)

A quick lead guard who sees the floor extremely well, Forgy was among the leaders in assists last year, dishing out 6.7 helpers a game. He’ll be asked to step up his scoring output this year following the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="674468" first="Easton" last="Darling"], and he certainly appears to be capable of it after averaging 9.2 points on 51-43-77 splits last year.

Bailey is a 6-3 wing with plus athleticism who is coming off a strong summer with the Iowa Barnstormers. He averaged 13.4 points a game last year and shot 42% from 3. With his ability to score from all three levels, combined with his athletic ability, he should have a huge junior year and become a more known name around the state.
