In this series we’ll provide evaluations on the best available prospects in their final season of high school competition.
Alex Archer Alex Archer 6'4" | CG Cerritos | 2021 State CA-S , Cerritos – Long, wiry and high IQ point guard who makes the right basketball decisions more often than not. More of a smooth and smart athlete than an explosive one. Great court vision in both transition and half-court settings. Willing and capable passer who doesn’t over-handle or try to be flashy with the ball. Must improve his scoring package and consistency from game-to-game.
Alex Wade Alex Wade 5'10" | PG Cathedral Catholic | 2021 State CA-S , Cathedral Catholic – One of the more polished true point guards left on the board in the state. Extremely high basketball IQ, can complete every pass in the book and has run teams at high levels for the last four years. Offensively, is best as a spot-up shooter when moving without the ball. Hard-nosed and smart defender who makes his assignment work hard for every inch.
Isaiah Brickner, St. Augustine – Big time vertical and downhill athlete who thrives in the transition setting. has the ability to finish above the rim and through contact on the break. Strength, ball skills and speed helps him get into the paint and bully his way to interior buckets. Must improve as a perimeter shooter both off the catch and off the bounce.
Liam Woodrum Liam Woodrum 6'0" | PG Anaheim Canyon | 2021 State CA-S , Anaheim Canyon – One of the quicker guards in SoCal from end-to-end. Uses that speed to put pressure on a retreating defense and get to the rim where he can score with crafty finishes. Has quick hands and good lateral speed defensively, but struggles against bigger, more physical guards. Not a confident or consistent perimeter shooter.
