Texas 2021 Wings Summer Stock Risers Part 1/3

<p>This is my in-depth analysis on some of the players who showcased their talents on big stages during this quarantined summer period we had! Look for these kids to take major leaps this next year as they develop as players and athletes. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for these young men as they continue to grow and begin their senior campaigns. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1047565" first="Jaden" last="Robinson"] 2021 6’5 Small Forward IL Texas Arlington High School</p> <p>Jaden is an impressive wing with great size, athleticism and leaping ability. He is great with a live dribble and creates so well for his teammates. He is an elite playmaker for his size, and he makes everyone around him better. He was taught the game the right way, always keeping his head up to make the next pass and the right read. I was very impressed with his ability to finish through defenders and even showed off a little with some dominant dunks in transition. He has a decent set shot but it obviously needs more work, as well as a shot off the dribble. He has all the tools to be an elite two way wing at the next level. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Vojin Mastelovic 6’7 2021 Wing Spring Creek Academy </p> <p>Vojin is a lanky wing/ combo guard who is a polished player. He is confident and always makes the right read every time down the court. He has a confident handle and a strong ability to get by his defender and get to the rim. I was blown away by his ability to be a reliable offensive weapon for his team. He has all the tools to be an effective initiator of offense and maybe even a combo guard at the next level. He is an incredible athlete who moves well for his size. He even displayed real dominant defensive instincts and his length allowed him to easily guard positions one through five. He will be a very highly recruited played during his senior campaign.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="887091" first="Cade" last="Holzman"] 6’7 2021 Bowie High School</p> <p>Cade is an explosive wing with great length. I was blown away by his touch outside the paint, displaying control over his jumper in the midrange and behind the arc. He is great at using tempo and understanding spacing on the court. He is a very cerebral player who likes slowing down his defender before exploding past him to the rim. His game reminds me a lot of Brandon Ingram in his effortless scoring ability coming from such a lanky athlete. I would like to see him work on his ability to defend and increased work on ball control and passing ability. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1047791" first="Mason" last="McBride"] 6’4 2021 Manvel High School</p> <p>Mason is an intelligent player who is good at drawing contact and getting into the paint. His touch from outside forces his defenders to play up on him and opens up driving lanes for himself and his teammates. He is great at utilizing jump fakes to keep his defenders off balance. He is also elite at moving without the rock, he knows how to fill space along the wing and corner and knows how to catch his defender sleeping with backdoor cuts. He is an aware player who should garner a lot of attention this upcoming year for Manvel High School.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Shane Bell 6’3 2021 Alief Elsik High School</p> <p>Shane is an athletic wing who is great at getting downhill. He possesses great strength to bully defenders on the block and is scrappy in his fight for rebounds. He is a great rebounder and protects the rim very well for his size. His ability to get to the rim on the fast break makes him a game wrecker. He has the potential to shut down the gym if you give him enough space to rise up and throw down. I would like to see him work on his ability to control tempo and his ball control and ability to create within the half court offense. </p>
