<p>The 2A division features some of the most passionate fans and some talented players. After suffering 3 defeats to Incline during the regular season, West Wendover proved that the 4th time is a charm, getting the monkey off their back, defeating the Highlanders in last year’s title game. In this article, we look at the returning rebound leaders in the 2A division. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="927156" first="Cody" last="Zile"]<em> 6’3 PF Lincoln County 2021</em> <em>(featured image)</em> <em>(#78PHN 2021)</em> - It could be an MVP type season for Zile this year. In addition to being one of the returning scorers, he also returns as the leading rebounder in 2A after averaging nearly 10rpg last year. </p>
<p><strong>Carlton Moore</strong> <em>PG Mountain View Christian 2021</em> - Moore surprises all around. One of the few PG’s to lead his team in rebounding, Moore didn’t stop there. The floor general put together a remarkable season, including averaging over 8 rebounds per game. His high water mark came in a 17 rebound performance against Calvary Chapel Christian. </p>
<p><strong>Talon Phillips</strong> <em>6’2 PF Lincoln County 2021</em> - Phillips knows exactly what he is. A rebounding specialist, the undersized forward averaged more rebounds than points last season, rebounding at a 7rpg clip. </p>
<p><strong>Nate Chavez</strong> <em>6’0 PG Needles 2022</em> - Chavez is one of the smallest rebounding leaders to make the list. Despite his diminutive stature he managed to pull down 7 boards per game last season. </p>
<p><strong>Joseph Brooks</strong> <em>6’2 SG The Founders School 2022</em> - Despite playing in a limited number of games last year, Brooks was a rebounding machine. He averaged 7 boards per game capped by a monstrous 14 rebound game vs Liberty Baptist. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="859650" first="Torak" last="TT Valosek"] <em>6’3 SG Incline 2022</em> <em>(#22PHN 2022)</em> - Valosek did it all for Incline last season. In addition to being the teams leading scorer, he also was the top rebounder, averaging nearly 7 per game last season. </p>
<p><strong>Brock Bullock</strong> <em>5’9 PG Battle Mountain 2021</em> - The undersized Bullock proved it’s the size of the dog in the fight. He battled and scrapped his way to nearly 7 boards per game last season. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="859669" first="Declan" last="Sawin"] <em>6’2 SF The Founders School 2022</em> <em>(#39PHN 2022)</em> - Sawin has been a stalwart since the inception of THS. Last season he paced the Centurions averaging 6.7 rebounds per game. </p>
