In this article, PH takes a look at five little known D1 prospects from the class of 2022.
AJ Storr AJ Storr 6'6" | SF IMG Academy post grad | 2022 State #119 Nation FL 6’6 SF Bishop Gorman (#3) (featured image) – Illinois transfer announced himself to the west coast with an explosive performance against Prolific Prep on ESPN. He’s a big-time R&J athlete that has been racking up offers, including offers from Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, and Iona coached by former National Championship coach Rick Pitino.
Tavionte Jackson Tavionte Jackson 6'1" | PG Las Vegas | 2022 NV 6’1 PG Las Vegas (#4) – Jackson put in work this summer. The PG has one of the tightest handles in the state and has proven that his ability to get to the rim is elite. He currently has an offer from Siena, however, if he continues his recent strong play, expect other schools to call.
Shane Thomas Shane Thomas 6'3" | SG Durango | 2022 State NV 6’3 SF Durango (#6) – Thomas is a 3 and D guy that impacts the game whether he scores 2 or 20 points. The Chicago St recruit is an explosive athlete that can electrify you with his above the rim finishes or 3 point shooting.
Darrion Williams Darrion Williams 6'6" | SF Bishop Gorman | 2022 State NV 6’6 PF Bishop Gorman (#7) – While Williams may not hold an offer as of right now, if he continues to display his versatile offensive skill set expect that to change. Williams’ passing and playmaking skills combined with his size make him an ideal point forward type, a position that has become more and more valuable over the last few years.
Aaron Price Aaron Price 6'7" | PF Liberty | 2022 State NV 6’7 PF Liberty (#8) – Price is definitely a good stock rising candidate. A bouncy, active forward Price impacts games with his shot-blocking and rim protection. He’s grown two inches since last taking the court and is developing ball skills to allow him to play out on the perimeter. With his size, athleticism, and evolving offensive game, expect scouts to begin salivating over him.
