The NBA draft concluded yesterday, and so did the redundant talk about how a player was overlooked and un-ranked. While extremely rare with today’s over-saturated H.S basketball coverage, there are some un-ranked players that legitimately slip through the cracks. In this article, we give you 10 unranked National guys who one day could hear they’re named called on draft day.

[player_tooltip player_id="533064" first="Azavier" last="Johnson"] 6’4 CG Faith Lutheran (NV) 2021 - People just don’t realize how good he is until seeing him in person. "AZ" is nearly two years younger than most of his c/o 2021 counterparts and his passing combined with his size and strength make him a valuable commodity. He has signed on to play at UTSA.

[player_tooltip player_id="1032938" first="AJ" last="Storr"] 6’6 SF Bishop Gorman (NV) 2022 (featured image) - Lot going on here. Storr has 1 year of eligibility left in high school but is rumored to be heading to prep school next year. Size, scoring ability, and athleticism make it a given that he should be ranked nationally. He’s not, so it makes him perfect for my list.

[player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"] 6’4 SG Farmington (UT) 2022 - By the time it’s all said and done, Chandler is probably going to be in someone’s national rankings. A true scoring guard that can protect the rim from a backcourt position, Chandler is a little known name today, however, he could hear his name called on draft day, one day.

John Cristofolis 6’3 SG O’Dea (WA) 2021 - One of the few players I’ve covered that actually looks bigger than listed. Cristofolis is widely considered the top shooter on the West Coast. He’s taking that size and trigger to Creighton a place that knows a thing or two about shooters.

[player_tooltip player_id="755629" first="Carter" last="Welling"] 6’10 C Corner Canyon (UT) 2021 - Utah has a few big guys on this list. I think Welling has the chance to be the best out of all of them. Great footwork, good athletic ability, the 5 man has signed on to play at UC Irvine.

Isaiah Broady 6’8 SF AZ Compass (AZ) 2021 - I’ve only seen Broady a handful of times, but his offensive skill set jumps out at me every time. Long, smooth, offensive wings are always in high demand and I can see him being no exception.

Wayne Mckinney 6’0 PG Coronado (CA) 2021 - I always joke about how McKinney could end up being a running back, but I could also see how his athleticism and explosion could translate quite well on the college basketball level as well, perhaps enough to justify getting selected down the road.

Isaiah Carr 6’11 PF Las Cruces (NM) 2022 - It’s great to welcome Prep Hoops New Mexico on board. Without the new site, Carr may go virtually unnoticed. The nearly 7 foot forward is agile and does a great job of blocking shots and protecting the rim. With his size, it’s easy to see how he could be a sneaky sleeper in a few years.

[player_tooltip player_id="755620" first="Jaden" last="Brownell"] 6’8 SF Alta (UT) 2021 - Brownell is a fluid rim runner that can play a legit 3 for a team. He is advanced downlow with the ability to score with both hands. I’ve been high on him as a sleeper over the last few years, don’t be surprised if the UIC comitt continues that trend through his college career.

[player_tooltip player_id="859649" first="Aaron" last="Price"] 6’7 PF Liberty (NV) 2022 - May be a bit of a reach, but I like the fact that Price is an athletic 4 man that is transitioning down to the 3. Already a versatile defender, as he develops his offensive skills over the next few years, I could see him becoming a coveted wing defender who could surprise some people on a draft-day near you.
