<p>Section viii is the public school conference in Nassau County on Long Island. They always have a strong representation of talent. We look at some of the players in this area that are rising up the ranks.</p>

<p>Combines his good size with the ability to really pass the ball. Has a good handle. Tremendous outlet passer off the boards. Excellent three point shooter. Crafty player who knows how to score the ball. Will be a highly sought after player. College programs should not wait on this talent.</p>
<p><strong>Antonio Arana. 6”2. 2021. Island Trees HS</strong></p>
<p>An all conference player. Expect to see him on that list again. Comes off screens ready to shoot it. Can also get off his own shot. Possesses a very good handle.</p>
<p><strong>Kamren Denhart. 5”10. 2022. Sewanaka HS</strong></p>
<p>High basketball IQ. A pure scorer. Explosive first step. A smooth elusive handle. Excellent mid range game. Very good on the ball defender.</p>

<p>The second of three players from this program. Versatile guard. Can play the 1-2-3 on either side of the floor. Very crafty getting to the rim. Very good defender. </p>
<p><strong>Frantz Compere 6”4. 2021. Sewanaka HS</strong></p>
<p>Good leadership qualities. Finishes around the rim. Can guard smaller quick guards but also bigs at the high school level. Very effective off the bounce. Consistent mid range shooter.</p>
<p><strong>Jamir Stewart 5”10. 2022. Baldwin HS</strong></p>
<p>Scoring point guard. Knocks down shots. Can get off his own shot. Scores in a variety of ways.</p>
<p><strong>Gerard Beaubrun. 6”3. 2022. Baldwin HS</strong></p>
<p>Can score the ball many ways. Really good around the rim. Very athletic. Really runs the floor well.</p>
