<p>While we’re certainly taking things one day at a time, the prospects of high school basketball occurring in the DMV this winter are more promising now than they have been in quite a while. In anticipation of this, we will be rolling out preview content over the next several weeks. Here is a look at the Preseason All-Junior Team for DC Public Schools. </p>
<p><strong>G - [player_tooltip player_id="777090" first="Kyle" last="Gaskins"]</strong></p>
<p>Gaskins gutted out a respectable sophomore campaign despite being plagued by a persisting knee injury. He's looked healthy all summer and should be able to lead an up-and-coming Coolidge squad this season. </p>
<p><strong>G - [player_tooltip player_id="904686" first="Sekou" last="Sidbury"]</strong></p>
<p>Sidbury has seen his grow steadily over the years at Dunbar. The lanky guard prospect will have gained enough experience by now to become a nightly impact player.</p>
<p><strong>G - [player_tooltip player_id="904681" first="Phillip" last="Flegler"]</strong></p>
<p>Flegler has established a reputation as one of the premier on-ball defenders in the city. Roosevelt's lockdown specialist relishes guarding the opposing team's best man every night. </p>
<p><strong>F - [player_tooltip player_id="777064" first="Darren" last="Buchanan Jr."]</strong></p>
<p>Buchanan is the reigning player of the year in the city, and will once again be a linchpin at Wilson. Expect him to be a difference-maker on both ends in each game.</p>
<p><strong>F - [player_tooltip player_id="777077" first="Stephaun" last="Walker"]</strong></p>
<p>Walker has the credentials to challenge Buchanan for the player of the year award. He is certainly an elite defensive player with an underrated offensive repertoire that will only improve moving forward.</p>
