<p>The FHSAA boys basketball season is just around the corner. The regular season tips off on Nov. 23.</p>
<p>We will be looking at the top players to watch in all seven classes.</p>
<p>Here is a peek at the top prospects to keep an eye on in Class 1A (Districts 1-8).</p>

<h2 style="text-align: center;"><strong>2019-20 state champion: Hawthorne</strong></h2>
<p><em>Region 1 – District 1</em></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="818963" first="Trenton" last="Moye"] (Milton Central)</strong></p>
<p>Averaging double digits since the 7th grade at Milton Central, Moye has been one of the most well-known players in 1A for awhile. The 2021 6-4 guard enters his senior campaign after averaging a career-best 19.7 PPG a season ago. Also an intriguing forward at 6-6 for Milton Central is [player_tooltip player_id="818744" first="Tristan" last="Wright"]. The 2021 athlete averaged 12.1 PPG and 8.3 RPG last season.2021 6-4 guard [player_tooltip player_id="818782" first="Andrew" last="Hof"] (11.9 PPG) is another key piece for this team.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="829391" first="Latrell" last="Sanders"] (Paxton)</strong></p>
<p>Sanders took the step forward as a lead guard at Paxton averaging 13.8 PPG. The 2022 6-0 guard is a fast-paced guard. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="818842" first="Trey" last="Williams"] (Laurel Hill)</strong></p>
<p>For Laurel Hill, Williams was really solid averaging 17.9 PPG last season. The 2021 6-2 guard is a true athlete.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="962494" first="Tristan" last="Watson"] (Jay)</strong></p>
<p>Watson, a 2023 6-4 guard continues to succeed after averaging double digits as an 8th grader, he bested that with 16.5 PPG as a freshman for Jay.</p>
<p><strong>Other names to know: </strong>2021 G Kage Wibbing (Paxton), 2021 G Brody Sharpe (Baker), 2021 F Brody Johnson (Jay), 2021 G Cody Gavin (Jay) and 2024 G Ethan McDonald (Jay).</p>
<p><em>Region 1 – District 2</em></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="953500" first="Xavian" last="Sorey"] (Graceville)</strong></p>
<p>Sorey was the best of a deep bunch at Graceville averaging close to 15.0 PPG a year ago. The 6-3 guard/forward is a big body for his team.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="953419" first="Zaimes" last="Hall"] (Poplar Springs)</strong></p>
<p>Averaging just under 20.0 PPG, Hall, a 2021 6-1 guard is the top guy for Poplar Springs yet again.</p>
<p><strong>Other names to know: </strong>2021 G Joell Green (Graceville), 2023 F [player_tooltip player_id="962504" first="Dequayvious" last="Sore"]y (Graceville), 2021 F Cole Newberry (Holmes County), 2021 F Sterling Hendrix (Poplar Springs), 2022 G Bayley Nelson (Poplar Springs), 2021 F Thomas Duffell (Poplar Springs), 2021 F Connor Hiers (Freeport), 2022 G Caden Henderson (Freeport) and 2023 G Roman Purvee (Bethlehem). </p>
<p><em>Region 2 – District 3</em></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="953501" first="Dyvion" last="Bush"] & [player_tooltip player_id="956787" first="EJ" last="Reddice"] (Holmes County)</strong></p>
<p>A football pairing in Bush and Reddice gave Holmes County juice last season. Bush, a 2021 6-2 guard averaged 14.6 PPG and Reddice, a 2022 6-2 guard averaged 12.8 PPG.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="953512" first="Ocasio" last="Murff"] & Annario Ware (Malone)</strong></p>
<p>Malone has a good duo in Murff and Ware. Murff, a 2021 6-0 guard averaged a team-best 15.2 PPG while Ware, a 6-3 guard wasn't far behind averaging 12.6 PPG.</p>
<p><strong>Other names to know: </strong>2022 G Kaleb Wilson (Malone), 2021 G Tykece Bryant (Cottondale), 2022 F [player_tooltip player_id="956798" first="Isaac" last="Wooden"] (Cottondale), 2021 F Michael Clemmons (Cottondale) and 2021 F Bowden Howell (Sneads).</p>
<p><em>Region 2 – District 4</em></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="812630" first="Kris" last="Parker"] (Crossroad)</strong></p>
<p>The best talent in all of 1A, Parker stands at 6-7 and is just hitting his full capabilities. The 2023 guard averaged just shy of 15.0 PPG at Crossroad Academy and has become a national name after earning an offer from UF recently. He also has offers from Lousiana Monroe and Detroit Mercy. Parker is quick, long and a true playmaker on both ends of the court.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="818708" first="Lamarius" last="Martin"] & [player_tooltip player_id="818941" first="Eden" last="Brathwaite"] (Franklin County)</strong></p>
<p>Franklin County has one of the best 2021 guard duos in 1A between Martin and Brathwaite. Martin, a 6-0 guard averaged just under 14.0 PPG last season while Brathwaite, a 6-1 guard was steady as they come averaging 16.0 PPG and 5.3 APG.</p>
<p><strong>Other names to know: </strong>2021 G Caleb Smith (Crossroad), 2021 F Bowden Howell (Crossroad), 2022 F [player_tooltip player_id="956804" first="Carter" last="Kembro"] (Franklin County), 2022 G [player_tooltip player_id="829497" first="Neshon" last="Gadson"] (Port St. Joe), 2023 F Lajuan Zaccaro (Port St. Joe), </p>
<p><em>Region 3 – District 5</em></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="953513" first="Zachariah" last="Jones"] (Madison County)</strong></p>
<p>A really good finisher at the glass, Jones averaged 15.0 PPG last season for a Madison County program that won a state title in 2018-19. The 2021 5-10 guard is the lead piece here.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="962500" first="Kevis" last="Thomas"] (Taylor County)</strong></p>
<p>Thomas has serious wheels at his 6-2 frame. The 2021 guard averaged 14.0 PPG and shot 62 percent from the field for Taylor County in 2019-20.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="953510" first="Jhebari" last="Martin"] (Hamilton County)</strong></p>
<p>One of the biggest athletes in 1A at 6-5, 308 lbs., Martin averaged 15.5 PPG and 9.4 RPG for Hamilton County as a junior.</p>
<p><strong>Other names to know: </strong>2022 G I'saiah Anweiler (Taylor County), 2021 F Semaj Thompson (Taylor County), 2021 G Darius Jones (Hamilton County), 2021 G Denandre Johnson (Hamilton County), 2022 G Carson St. Laurent (Dixie County), 2022 G Luke Thomas (Dixie County), 2021 G Elisha Clark (Jefferson County), 2021 G [player_tooltip player_id="818927" first="Zarrion" last="Robinson"] (Madison County), 2021 G Joseph Jackson (Madison County), 2023 G [player_tooltip player_id="962420" first="Jamie" last="Hampton"] (Madison County).</p>
<p><em>Region 3 – District 6</em></p>
<p><strong>Names to know: </strong>2022 F Curan Webb (Union County), 2021 F Evan Dowdy (Branford), 2021 F Jalen Jordan (Hilliard), </p>
<p><em>Region 4 – District 7</em></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="953498" first="Keith" last="McGuire"] (Williston)</strong></p>
<p>One of the most efficient shooters in 1A, McGuire averaged 16.0 PPG as a junior as he shot 48 percent from long range. Williston has a good one in the 2021 5-10 guard.</p>
<p><strong>Quay Brodus (Chiefland)</strong></p>
<p>Averaging 19.5 PPG in 13 games for Chiefland as a junior, Brodus made his presence well known. The 2021 5-11 guard is a playmaker.</p>
<p><strong>Other names to know: </strong>2021 G Jo Kerian Days (Williston), 2021 G Rashaud Nelson (Williston), 2021 F Isaac Williams (Williston), 2022 F [player_tooltip player_id="829455" first="Jesse" last="Williams"] (Bronson), 2021 G Dre Lawrence (Hawthorne), 2021 G Steven Nelson (Newberry) and 2022 G [player_tooltip player_id="829512" first="Mahki" last="Bostic"] (Newberry).</p>
<p><em>Region 4 – District 8</em></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="818687" first="Alfred" last="Corbin"] (Wildwood)</strong></p>
<p>Wildwood is a Lakeland mainstay year after year. Corbin, a 2021 6-3 guard/forward is the top scorer back after averaging 14.0 PPG and 5.9 RPG as a junior. 2021 6-4 forward [player_tooltip player_id="818725" first="Nate" last="Mikell"] (9.4 PPG) and 2021 6-4 forward [player_tooltip player_id="818912" first="Joe" last="Poyser"] (8.7 PPG) are two fine counterparts who can flat out fly in transition.</p>
<p><strong>Tylen McKinnon (Crescent City)</strong></p>
<p>At Crescent City, McKinnon, a 2021 6-4 combo guard averaged 14.6 PPG a season ago leading the way for his side. Fellow 2021 guard, Jordan Jara averaged 12.2 PPG while he shot an impressive 40 percent from long range.</p>
