The Pangos All-American Festival concluded on Sunday afternoon with the 3rd place and championship games. This event featured tons of five-star and high four-star prospects. PrepHoops breaks down the standout performers in Pangos All-American Festival: Scott’s Sunday Standouts!

Midwest

[player_tooltip player_id="765148" first="Ahamad" last="Bynum"] (Simeon, IL – DePaul Commit)

The DePaul verbal was outstanding in the 3rd place game. The 6’3” two guard played some on the ball and worked well in ball screen situations. He is such an explosive multi-level bucket getter. Took it strong to the rack in the half court finishing in traffic along with getting out for dunks in transition. His three point shot was on point as he drilled a handful of them in this game. Plays with a high-motor on both ends which led to several steals as well. Finished with 29 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Brandon Weston (Hillcrest, AZ – Seton Hall Commit)

Weston is another Illinois prep product that is now at Hillcrest in Arizona. The Seton Hall commit is an athletic two guard that brings pop on the offensive end. Drilled an array of pull ups from both mid-range and three. Crisp jump shooter with consistent mechanics. Can put it on the deck and finished above the rim with elite explosiveness. He had 29 points (12/15 FG) and 6 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id="532574" first="Chet" last="Holmgren"] (Minnehaha, MN)

Holmgren continued to prove he is the best prospect in high school basketball. The seven foot center has a ton of Kristas Porzingis to his game. His ability to alter and block every single shot in the lane is incredible. He has insane length and timing as a rim protector. Against elite competition they struggled all game long to score on him. Offensively he is extremely versatile being able to do whatever he wants. Deep range on his three point shot. Hits the offensive glass for jams. Handles it in the open floor where he either takes it all the way for a score or has spectacular dishes for assists. Holmgren impresses every time out! He had an insane 24 points (7/8 FG), 20 rebounds, and 12 blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id="811091" first="Pierre" last="Brooks"] (Douglas, MI – Michigan State Commit)

Brooks is a powerfully built wing that will be an impact player at Michigan State. The Spartans are getting a three man that is a high level shooter from beyond the arc. Also with his strength he can power his way to the hoop for scores. Crisp one dribble shot from mid-range. Brooks netted 23 points (6/8 FG).

West

[player_tooltip player_id="714771" first="Alex" last="Fudge"] (Lee, FL – LSU Commit)

Fudge opened our eyes with his performance. The LSU verbal is a 6’8” four that brings quickness and explosiveness on the interior. He got on the glass and threw down several thunderous slams in the 3rd place game. Fudge had 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 dimes.

Dallan Coleman (West Nassau County, FL – Georgia Tech Commit)

Coleman has size at 6’5” for a two guard and the Georgia Tech commit can flat out put the ball in the hoop. He did it over and over again especially with deep threes. Such an effortless shot creator from the perimeter. Smooth shot, but is more than just a shooter. Used his strength to win off the bounce several times converting through contact in the paint. Burst with the ball in his hands. Flashed as a passer. He had 31 points and 8 rebounds.

Josh Minot (St. Andrew’s, FL – Memphis Commit)

This Memphis commit has a bright future as a high energy four man. Crashed the glass for several big tip dunks. Runs the floor hard and overall was very active. Went for 22 points (7/11 FG) and 8 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id="990930" first="Rahsool" last="Diggins"] (Archbishop Wood, PA – Uconn Commit)

It wasn’t a huge scoring game for Diggins, but we can see why he will be a fit at UConn with his ability to run a team and get others involved. Good feel at the point guard spot for getting others involved and is a slick ball handler. Stuffed the stat sheet for 10 points, 8 rebounds, 6 dimes, and 3 steals.

South

[player_tooltip player_id="754230" first="Jabari" last="Smith"] (Sandy Creek, GA – Auburn Commit)

Smith is a 6’9” power forward that brings a ton of versatility to the table on both ends of the floor. It was his defense that really stood out to us. He really competed against Banchero throughout the game making things difficult for him. Offensively he runs the floor hard, can handle it in the open court, gets tip in buckets, and scores in the post. Mismatch at the next level with his inside/outside game. Went for 22 points (7/13 FG), 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Damion Collins (Atlanta, TX – Kentucky Commit)

Collins showed the flashes of why we believe he could be one of the best long term prospects in this class. The five man who is headed to Kentucky is oozing with upside. He was 3/3 from the field with them coming on monster dunks including a spectacular left handed tip slam. Big time factor as a rim protector coming the from out of nowhere for swats. Collins went for 9 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks.

TyTy Washington (AZ Compass Prep, AZ)

This was my first time checking out Washington. The combo guard from Arizona is a playmaker that makes sound decisions with the ball as a distributor. Crafty getting in the lane for layups. Makes regular trips to the foul line. Struggled shooting it from deep (0-9 3PT), but everything else was on point. He went for 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 dimes.

[player_tooltip player_id="535625" first="Trey" last="Alexander"] (Heritage Hall, OK)

Alexander heated up in the second half for his squad. The combo guard is a smooth backcourt player that is effective both on and off the ball. Finishes well with either hand at the cup and hit a trio from beyond the arc going for 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Overall he has a nice feel for the game.

[player_tooltip player_id="684374" first="Jerrell" last="Colbert"] (Houston, TN – LSU Commit)

The LSU commit struggled from the field scoring, but did have some flashes running the court. It was his ability to dominate on the glass that made the biggest impression on us. He had 6 points and 12 rebounds.

West

Nolan Hickman (Wasatch Academy, UT – Kentucky Commit)

Hickman is a Kentucky commit that brings versatility in the backcourt being able to play the one or two. Feathery jump shooter that drilled shots from all over the floor. Hit some deep threes along with pull ups from 15 feet. Slick ball handler that gets where he needs to on the floor to operate. Solid decision maker with the ball and rebounds well for a guard. He had a team high 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 dimes.

[player_tooltip player_id="843715" first="Shane" last="Nowell"] (Eastside Catholic, WA – Arizona Commit)

This left handed combo guard is another uber talented guard out of the Northwest. The wiry built lefty can shoot the ball from multiple levels with the flick of a wrist shot. Gets elevation on his shot. Finished with 16 points and 5 boards.

[player_tooltip player_id="611182" first="Paolo" last="Banchero"] (O’Dea, WA – Duke Commit)

Banchero was the headliner of this group coming in. Despite Smith giving him everything he had defensively the future Blue Devil still put together quite a game. His combination of strength, skill, and motor are what separates him from others in this class. He is a perfect fit for the new age four man. Crisp mid-range jump shooter and slashes with so much power finishing through his opponents. Best play was a spin move for an and-1 late in the contest. Volume rebounder. He went for 17 points and 13 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id="891898" first="Aidan" last="Shaw"] (Blue Valley, KS)

Shaw was the only junior in the event and man was he impressive. The 6’8” power forward can stretch the defense to beyond the arc with his shooting. His competitiveness around the hoop on the defensive end as a rim protector really stood out. Went for 14 points and 3 blocks.
