Our latest rankings update to the class of 2022 saw some players use their improved play this summer/fall to rise in the rankings. In this article we’ll be looking at players ranked between 26-50 and improved their stock.

[player_tooltip player_id="921757" first="Jerry" last="Saunders"], 6’0 SG Pickerington North: Saunders has long been one of my favorite players to watch in this class. Saunders is an underrated outside shooter, as he can really fill it up from the outside. A natural scorer, Saunders should take a primary scoring role for the Panthers this year. For Saunders to justify this rise in the rankings, I’d like to see him continue to defend and add some more play-making for others to his game. Pickerington North graduated some key pieces, Saunders will be looked upon to create for others alongside senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id="805175" first="Casey" last="George"].

[player_tooltip player_id="921752" first="Adam" last="Duvall"], 6’6 PF Beavercreek: Duvall can really space the floor, last high school season he shot 54% from 3-point range on over 3 attempts per game. Combine that with his 87% free-throw percentage and Duvall is one of the top shooters with size in the state. For a player without a ton of buzz around the state, I’d like to see him become more of a household name this season considering he was third in the GWOC in scoring as a Sophomore fifth in rebounding.

[player_tooltip player_id="1045456" first="Drey" last="Carter"], 6’7 SF Westerville South: Carter was a player I had no knowledge of before the 2022 challenge hosted by 270 Hoops. I was intrigued with Carter’s length and fluidity on the outside. You won’t find many kids with his physical tools that can move with the basketball like he can, and Carter even knocked down a couple off the dribble 3-pointers. Carter is another player I’d like to see in a more organized environment but at this point I’m incredibly intrigued with him.

[player_tooltip player_id="809621" first="Ajay" last="Sheldon"], 6’1 PG Dublin Coffman: Sheldon comes from a basketball family and you can tell when watching him play. Very vocal on the court, playing the point guard position how it was intended to be. Sheldon gets after it defensively, unafraid to provide tough on-ball pressure. I expect Sheldon to take a significant leap in scoring after Coffman graduated Wofford commit [player_tooltip player_id="800895" first="Keaton" last="Turner"], and based on the highlight film posted by Jake Spegal of 270 Hoops, it seems like he’ll be able to live up to these expectations for his junior season.
