GHSA Season Preview: Player Rankings 2022

As the 2020-21 GHSA high school basketball season quickly approaches we will breakdown each classification based on our updated player rankings, highlighting the Top 100.

Class A-Private

A nice group of 14 juniors make it in the Top 100 with St. Francis claiming No. 18 [player_tooltip player_id="810375" first="Seth" last="Hubbard"], No. 22 [player_tooltip player_id="870204" first="Keith" last="Robbins"] and No. 39 [player_tooltip player_id="687647" first="Jordan" last="Brown"], a talented trio in the backcourt. All three will see major opportunities to raise their stock even more with the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="751856" first="Dwon" last="Odom"] (Xavier). Greenforest counters with No. 10 [player_tooltip player_id="870151" first="Chase" last="Cormier"], No. 27 [player_tooltip player_id="870162" first="Jalen" last="Forrest"] and No. 84 [player_tooltip player_id="870182" first="Florian" last="Tenebay"]. Expect St. Francis and Greenforest to open up 1 & 2 in the state rankings with a potential state title rematch coming in March. Providence Christian has begun to accumulate talent as No. 66 [player_tooltip player_id="949916" first="Tony" last="Carpio"] joins No. 32 [player_tooltip player_id="598780" first="Chance" last="Thacker"]. The Atlanta All-Star duo forms a nice inside-out punch. Keep an eye on No. 61 [player_tooltip player_id="952590" first="AJ" last="Flagg"]. While ELCA likely won’t be competing for a title this year, Flagg could really put his name on the map as the go-to option for Coach Derrick Mason. He had a strong offseason and has tantalizing upside. In total, nine schools are represented across the 14 players in the Top 100.
