Georgetown Bulldog Shootout

<p>Prep Hoops took in some weekend games here in the Palmetto State. The basketball season has started here in the Palmetto State. Covid-19 has taken a toll on high school sports throughout the country. Prep Hoops took in the opening night action from the Bulldog Shootout in Georgetown. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840221" first="Quez" last="Lewis"] (2021) - Johnsonville HS (pictured on the front) </strong></p> <p>Lewis came out on fire in the opening round game for the Golden Flashes. Lewis a point guard erupted with 27 points in a tough opening loss to the host Georgetown HS Bulldogs. Herrin erupted for 20 points in the second to half to finish with 23 points. Smalls had 23 points unofficially in a win over Socastee HS in the opening round win. McManus didn’t score in the first half and finished with 13 points in the overtime win over Waccamaw HS. Alquiza previously played up in the Hoop State around the Charlotte area. Alquiza will be a nice addition to the Braves backcourt this season. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1088706" first="Trae" last="Grant"] (2023) - Socastee HS </strong></p> <p>Grant showed to have a quick shot release from behind the arc. Grant plays the game with a really good motor. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1088707" first="Travis" last="Wilson"] (2024) - Johnsonville HS </strong></p> <p>Wilson recorded 63 tackles on the football field this past season for the Golden Flashes. Wilson is a very vocal post player who moves really well around the court. Wilson needs to develop some post moves down the road but really plays the game quite aggressive. </p>
