Class 2A-Region 4 Preview – UNDERCLASSMEN

<p>The Class 2A-Region 4 conference has plenty of talent and college players for the future in it. College basketball programs might want to be aware of this region and the talent coming up the pipe. Gillespie has helped the Braves football team to the playoffs this coming week. The Patriots finished last year (18-6) and have officially joined the SCHSL this coming season. Davis has the ability to create his own offense along with creating for his teammates. Davis plays every possession like its his last.</p> <p><strong style="font-size: 1rem;">[player_tooltip player_id="746059" first="Kendall" last="Davis"] (2022) - York Prep (Rock Hill)  (pictured on the front)</strong></p> <p>Kendall will take a charge on command and takes so much pride in being a great on the ball defender. Kendall isn’t afraid to dive on the floor and sacrifice his body for some floor burns. Brown a run-jump-athlete plays the game as a rim runner. McCree just like Brown came over from nearby Lancaster HS. McCree and Brown both played this past summer on the Grassroots Circuit with 1-Carolina. McCree really knows how to use the ball screen and burst to the cup. Kell is a very deceptive athlete on the floor with the ability to knockdown shots from long range. Blakeney played on the Grassroots Circuit with Upward Stars Southeast 2022. Blakeney just like Kell can connect on shots from the perimeter. Blakeney has a quick shot release and shows to score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1080954" first="Ca’Darrius" last="Sowell"] (2022) - Andrew Jackson HS (Kershaw) </strong></p> <p>Sowell had a good summer playing on the Grassroots Circuit with Upward Stars Pee Dee. Sowell 5’11 guard also excels on the football field for the Volunteers. Sowell is a great energy guy with great elevation on his jumper. Barksdale really piled up sme numbers last season for the Patriots. Barksdale is just another piece to a very talented Patriots roster for Head Coach Larry Davis. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="865336" first="Jaydyn" last="Sowell"] (2023) - Central HS (Pageland) </strong></p> <p>Sowell averaged 9.5 ppg last season for the Eagles as a freshman.
