Drenin Dinkins Drenin Dinkins 6'0" | PG South Iron | 2022 State MO 6’0″ South Iron: The talented 2022 point guard scored 22 points in the championship game victory over Bunker and 27 more in the semifinals against Ellington. He is a multi-dimensional scorer who plays with a lot of confidence. He can play off the ball and spot up and knock down deep 3-pointers. He can also create his own shot with the ability to score at all three levels. He’s also grown about 3-4 inches since entering high school.
D.J. Prater 6’2″ South Iron: A dynamic 2022 southpaw guard who goes under the radar because of plays with one of the best guard tandems in the state, D.J. is a very talented player in his own right. He has good bounce and playmaking ability with his handles and feel for the game. He is very good at swooping to the hoop on the drive, but he can also knock down an open 3-pointer. He is also a big problem on the Panthers’ pressure defense with his length and athleticism.
Cade Sutton 6’4″ Bunker: The young 2023 combo forward had an impressive tournament as he averaged nearly 20 points a game in leading his team to the championship game. He has nice length and he displayed the ability get buckets off the drive almost at will. He attacked the basket from different angles and finished well. He also averaged about 10 rebounds in the tournament.
Blake Mathis 6’2″ Bunker: An impressive 2022 guard who scored a team-high 16 points in the championship game against South Iron, which came after a nice 20-point effort against Lesterville in the semifinals. In addition to his scoring, he also had a lot of playmaking responsibility, which he did quite well. He is a solid shooter who can handle the ball well.
Nolan Mathis 6’0″ Lesterville: The 2022 guard was one of the most productive players in the tournament as he averaged 30 points a game to lead all players during the weekend. He was very resourceful in his scoring pursuits as he constantly stayed in attacked mode to finish inside while being able to hit his share of open 3-pointers. His energy level was excellent as he carried the offensive load for a very young team throughout the weekend.
