SubscribeManheim, Pa. — The A-Game Fall Shootout was a loaded event filled with talent from the surrounding area. Teams from all age groups brought their top games as they tried to bring home the championship. Here are the top performers from Championship Sunday at the A-Game Fall Shootout.
Dior Anderson: Wiz Kids, Bronx 2026- Anderson may have been playing a grade up for the Wiz Kids, but that did not stop him from having a strong performance in the 8th Grade Orange final. The 5’8 guard attacked the basket hard and was able to get to the basket with consistency. Anderson has a nice touch on his floater and showed off his range by knocking down. He made good decisions with the ball in his hands and was scrapping for loose balls throughout the day. Anderson’s play in the title game showed that he has the potential to run a high school offense in the near future.
Jayden Davis: Team FCAA Elite, Pittsburgh 2025- Team FCAA Elite jumped on Team Durant early in the 8th Grade Gold final and Davis was a big reason why. The 5’8 guard was red-hot from distance as he was making it rain from behind the arc and shot the ball with confidence. Davis was disruptive on the defensive end as he jumped passing lanes for steals which led to easy layups. He has a good handle and made good decisions with the ball in his hands. Davis’ ability to knock down jumpers combined with his defensive play-making should help him see good minutes early in his high school career.
Achilles Desmangles: NYC Supreme, Brooklyn 2025- NYC Supreme fell to the Wiz Kids in the 8th Grade orange final, but that does not take away from Desmangles’ productive day. The 6’1 lefty wing attacked the basket with a purpose all day and was unafraid of drawing contact. Desmangles can finish with either hand around the rim and has the ability to knock down jumpers from behind the arc. He used his length on the defensive end to get steals and blocked shots. Desmangles is a lanky two-way wing prospect who should be a name to watch in the Big Apple.
Josh Rivera: Ivy Lions, NY 2027- The Ivy Lions took home the 6th Grade Black title and Rivera had a big part in the victory. The 5’9 wing can handle the ball on the perimeter and get to the basket from the wing. Rivera has a nice touch close to the basket and used his height advantage to shoot over his defender. He ripped down rebounds and altered shots with his length. The Ivy Lions have a strong 2027 team, which should only get better as Rivera and his teammates get older.
Meleek Thomas: Team FCAA Elite, Pittsburgh 2025- Davis is the one who got Team FCAA Elite started in the 8th Grade Gold final and it was Thomas who brought the team home. The 6’2 wing was crafty with the ball in his hands as he was able to get to the basket with consistency. Thomas had several nice finishes around the basket and did not force the too much in the half court. He got his hands on numerous balls and blocked a couple of shots around the basket. Thomas is a skilled two-way wing who should make an impact at the high school level in the near future.
