2021 Top Available Forwards

<p>The 2021 forward class is full of talent headlined by Villanova commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850499" first="Trey" last="Patterson"]</strong>. The last couple of weeks have made a huge impact on the class with the <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850504" first="Ta’Quan" last="Woodley"]</strong>’s decommitment and the recent commitments of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900333" first="Rafael" last="Castro"] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="977499" first="Sam" last="Alajiki"]</strong> to Providence and Cal, respectively. The forward group is still filled with talented players who are capable of making an impact at the next level. Here are the top available forwards in the 2021 class.</p> <p><strong>Woodley, 6’6 PF Camden</strong></p> <p>The resignation of head coach Patrick Chambers led to Woodley’s decommitment, making him eligible for this list. The 6’6 power forward has a strong frame which he uses to finish through contact. Woodley has a nice touch around the basket and knows how to carve out position down low. He is a force on the glass and is a good shot-blocker around the basket. Woodley has a top five of St. Joseph’s, Temple, South Carolina, Georgia and St. John’s, so how long he is available is up for debate.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850508" first="Jerome" last="Brewer"], 6’6 SF Camden</strong></p> <p>The second straight Panther to kick off this list, Brewer has been a key part of Camden’s offense for the past two seasons. The 6’6 wing has a smooth handle and knows how to finish around the basket. Brewer is more than just a slasher as he has a good mid-range game and can knock down jumpers from behind the arc. He is a strong perimeter defender and has quick hands. Brewer is a skilled wing prospect who should make an impact at the next level.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900364" first="Dominick" last="Barlow"], 6’7 SF Dumont</strong></p> <p>Barlow’s stock has been rising since the summer and it should only get higher through this season. The 6’7 forward is at his best in transition as he can use his athleticism to get to the rim. Barlow can put the ball on the floor and finish through contact. He is capable of knocking down perimeter jumpers and uses his athleticism to sky for rebounds. Barlow currently holds four D1 offers and that list should only get bigger during his senior season.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900357" first="Nicolo" last="Nobili"], 6’9 PF Paul VI</strong></p> <p>The Eagles already have one D1 bound player in future NJIT guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850529" first="Wisler" last="Sanon"]</strong>, but they have another one in Nobili. The Italian native plays with good footwork down low and can finish with either hand around the rim. Nobili’s greatest strength is his ability to play on the perimeter as he is a good passer and can handle the ball on the perimeter. He is a solid rebounder and is a strong post defender. Nobili is a talented forward prospect who should have a strong 2020-21 season for Paul VI.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900310" first="Kunga" last="Tsering"], 6’6 SF Roselle Catholic</strong></p> <p>Tsering played his first three seasons at Hasbrouck Heights and is concluding his varsity career at perennial power Roselle Catholic. The 6’6 forward has a nice handle and is capable of breaking his defender down off the bounce. Tsering knows how to draw contact around the basket and can finish above the rim. He is a strong rebounder and an underrated passer.
