With us putting out some of the top guards we are excited to watch this year and the top bigs we are excited to watch we have also created a list of other players that might not fall into those categories. Some people might call it a wing but in reality it’s simple a taller player that can play almost any position out on the floor.

Jake has always been more of a guard on the AAU Circuit but like most tall players on their high school team they are assigned a position and it’s usually down low. This year we just can’t see Jake not playing out in the perimeter because he is just so good and fluid out there. He can take over bringing the ball up duties. He really showed how well he can play this Summer/Spring in that position. We are excited to possible see him take that role and confidence back to his high school team and go to work. Jake had a lot of impressive Division 1 offers from all over the country and he decided to stay in his backyard and sign with BYU.

#2 6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="755611" first="Robert" last="Whaley"] (Bountiful)

With one of the best nicknames out there in “Boi Boi” Robert is just a position-less player that can score. If he catches the ball deep on the block it is almost impossible to stop him. With a smooth left-handed game he is just a force. If he can show off that jumper he has been working on for the past two years he will be extremely fun to watch. Boi Boi recently committed to play at College of Southern Idaho where I think he can really shine.

#3 6’6 [player_tooltip player_id="755626" first="Jackson" last="Holcombe"] (Timpanogos)

One of the best overall prospects still available out there that can just do so much. He can score the basketball but he is really impressive at the defensive end which is always a focus for him at the high school level that will benefit him at the next level. There is so much potential with Jackson that he will have some great options at the next level. He will score a lot and just be a solid reason his team will have some success. He plays so smooth in that uptempo style.

#4 6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="933811" first="Juan" last="Carlos Camargo"] (Provo)

This kid has a motor and he is a wing. he might play some big but he is a wing. He ended the year playing at a high level and we want to see if he can continue that trend that he had because he will be trending up. We would like to see his growth as he was training with the NBA without boarders program this off-season.

#5 6’8 [player_tooltip player_id="934475" first="Matus" last="Hronsky"] (Wasatch Academy)

I don’t we have really seen how good this kid is and is going to be. He has all the tools to play at a HM D1. We will just have to wait and see.
