The Triad Blue Chip 2021 Select Game brought some of the top talent in the Triad area out to Shining Light Academy on Saturday night. Here’s a look at the 5 biggest takeaways from the game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1070055" first="Daniel" last="Fulp"]’s double-double leads the way for Team White

[player_tooltip player_id="1070055" first="Daniel" last="Fulp"] is a new name to know in North Carolina’s 2021 class after Team White triumphed over Team Black in the Triad Blue Chip 2021 Select Game 94-68. Fulp finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds, showing off his prowess in the paint and around the rim. He’s a 6-foot-5 forward with good size and energy on the interior. He’ll be one to keep an eye on this season at Mount Tabor.

[player_tooltip player_id="574478" first="Jamarien" last="Dalton"] much more than a D1 Football Prospect

[player_tooltip player_id="574478" first="Jamarien" last="Dalton"] was another standout for Team White on Saturday, showing that he’s much more than an Elon football commit. Dalton flew around the floor and make things happen on both ends and was the top scorer in the rotation with 13 points, showing off his length and ability to attack the paint from the wing.

[player_tooltip player_id="1070056" first="Luke" last="Williams"] shows versatility as a guard

[player_tooltip player_id="1070056" first="Luke" last="Williams"] is another new name to know in North Carolina’s 2021 class out of Davie High School. He’s a 6-foot guard that competes on both ends as a defender and a rebounder when he’s on the floor. He finished with eight points, eight rebounds and a steal in the win for Team White. He knows how to make an impact when he’s on the floor and can do multiple things on the floor when he’s in.

[player_tooltip player_id="574435" first="Jaden" last="Ellis"] is due for a breakout year

Page standout guard [player_tooltip player_id="574435" first="Jaden" last="Ellis"] was one player that stood out for Team Black as he posted 24 points to lead the way despite the deficit. Ellis didn’t waste any time when he was on the floor showing off his ability to operate off the bounce and fill it up from behind the arc. When it was all said and done, he knocked down four total 3-pointers in the game as one of four players that finished in double-figures scoring. He’ll be one to watch at Page in 2020-21 alongside [player_tooltip player_id="838051" first="Zion" last="Connor"].

[player_tooltip player_id="574459" first="Kadyn" last="Dawkins"] and [player_tooltip player_id="838027" first="K.J." last="Garrett"] show off their prowess in the backcourt

[player_tooltip player_id="574459" first="Kadyn" last="Dawkins"] and KJ Garrett were two other top performers in the Team White rotation. Dawkins put up 13 points, showing off his fearless ability to get to the rim and finish in traffic while also knocking down a 3-pointer. Garrett finished with 10 points, showing off his ability to operate off the dribble while also knocking down a 3-pointer. Dawkins will be an unsigned senior prospect to watch in 2020-21 at Eastern Guilford. Garrett will be at High Point Christian in 2020-21.

Other Notable Performers:

[player_tooltip player_id="932080" first="Tyriek" last="Leach"]: 11 points (2 3-pointers)

[player_tooltip player_id="985980" first="Shad" last="Thomas"]: 6 points, 6 rebounds

[player_tooltip player_id="838051" first="Zion" last="Connor"]: 11 points

[player_tooltip player_id="838021" first="Jamarii" last="Thomas"]: 4 steals
