I complete my recaps of the Top 250 Expo by highlighting the top Small Forwards from Saturday’s event. The theme with this group is not necessarily high scorers, but toughness and versatility. See for yourself as I take a look at the 5 Top Performers at the Top 250 Expo.

[player_tooltip player_id="1045464" first="Dasan" last="Doucet"] (2022) Fairmont 6’4- Plays with a ton of intensity and competes on the defensive end of the floor. Added more to his offensive game during the offseason and is now one of the better slashers you will find at the SF position. Finishing in a multitude of ways and uses his strong frame to score at the rim and through contact.

[player_tooltip player_id="967178" first="Zack" last="Oddo"] (2022) Uniontown Green 6’6- Lengthier perimeter option does a little bit of everything on the floor. Spaces the floor well on the perimeter and balances the offense out. Solid shooting touch on the perimeter but also can post up and be a scorer on the block. More of a catch-and-shoot option when in the half court setting. Inside-out potential makes Oddo an intriguing prospect and could be a target for D3s looking for an under-the-radar SF currently.

[player_tooltip player_id="967173" first="Noah" last="Rich"] (2022) Franklin 6’6- Has the green light to shoot anywhere beyond the arc. Scrappy and confident with the ball in his hands. Contests on the glass and willing to go after 50/50 balls even against bigger opponents in the paint. Taller for a SF but a little wirey with his frame. Shown he can be a solid D3 target with his shooting touch and overall style of play. One of my favorite prospects out of the SWBL.

[player_tooltip player_id="867951" first="Devin" last="Royal"] (2023) Pickerington Central 6’5- Royal has great size for a Sophomore. Overall a very good prospect. Does a little bit of everything and does it extremely well. Tough defensive player that can defend the perimeter against bigger and quicker guards. Versatile on the offensive end and can score from different levels.

[player_tooltip player_id="805198" first="Johrdon" last="Mumford"] (2021) Middletown 6’4- Athletic and lengthy SF option. Mumford struggled getting a ton of offense going on Saturday, but showed poise and resilience going after boards and showed he is tough to box out and defend. As he finds consistency in his shooting touch, could become a target for D3s to recruit.
