Preseason All North Louisiana Team

The season is upon us and once again it is time to name the cream of the crop in north Louisiana. This preseason list consists of three teams of the best players in the state and across the northern portion of the Boot along with a number of honorable mentions. 1st Team [player_tooltip player_id="530988" first="Delatrion" last="Moton"] (Woodlawn-Shreveport, 2021) [player_tooltip player_id="765923" first="Daniel" last="Ortiz"] (Calvary Baptist, 2021) [player_tooltip player_id="781849" first="Rayshun" last="McCullar"] (Huntington, 2022) [player_tooltip player_id="781860" first="Labree" last="Williams"] (Calvary Baptist, 2022) [player_tooltip player_id="566552" first="Rollin" last="Belton"] (Ruston, 2021) The first team roster are some of the top players Louisiana has. Belton is the best big man in the north. He has great footwork and his motor is infectious. Williams is one of the better scorers we have seen in recent history. He can score at all three levels and makes it look easy at times. McCullar and Ortiz are two of the more aggressive scoring point guards who have caught the eye of many a school. Ortiz does it more from the perimeter while McCullar is one who probes with his driving ability and consistently drains the mid-range J. He is probably the most explosive player in the north and will be a leader on this year’s Wossman team. Natt was a 1st team all-state selection and may be the same this season. No one works harder on both ends than he. Manning has made the most improvement within this group. He is going to be one of the top two-way players in Louisiana and has increased his scoring. RIchard has the ability to carry a team on his back offensively and has all the college point guard measurables to be effective on the next level. Mitchell is the do it all wing who can play in the post or the perimeter. If everything meshes this season, a school may find them a steal. Clark was vital in Doyline hoisting the state title last season. He should be even better this year with that experience under his belt. McCraney was the 2-4A MVP and may repeat. His shooting is top level and he added playmaking over the summer. A dangerous combo if you ask me. Perry is the best guard nobody knows. He can facilitate and score with any of the top guards. Dishmond is a banger with a soft touch. Menard should have another good season with him in the post. The second team is wing dominated headlined by Devonte Austin Devonte Austin 6'0" | CG Wossman | 2021 State LA . He is probably the most explosive player in the north and will be a leader on this year’s Wossman team. Natt was a 1st team all-state selection and may be the same this season.
