Off Guards To Watch

<p> We are anxious to see these wing players who can play inside or out.  But can also distribute the ball, score it, be the main man or that all important second scorer. </p> <p><strong>Allen Fiore          6”1.          2022           Eastport South Manor HS</strong></p> <p>Help turning the ESM program around. Allen will step up further this season. A stand still lights out shooter. He gets to the rim anytime he wants. Needs to do this more often and look to finish when he’s at the rim. Quick player with a nice handle. </p> <p><strong>Isiah Randolph     6”3.        2021.                   </strong><strong>Brentwood HS</strong></p> <p>Great frame. Physically strong player. Extremely athletic. Uses his body well. Has a city game. Real tough, very quick for his size. Finishes through contact. Improving on his shot. Brentwood has 2 other players on this list. They will team up with the best player <strong>(Jordan Riley)</strong> quite possibly  on Long Island. To again advance to the county championship</p> <p><strong>Mitchell Cummings   6”3.       2021                    Mount Sinai HS</strong></p> <p>Strong player. Very good on both sides of the glass. Good shooter. Really good footwork enables him to finish around the rim with either hand. Has gained experience and is still learning the game. Will be asked to do more because of some graduations from last year’s team.</p> <p><strong>Zatai Townsend        6”0.       2022                      Brentwood HS</strong></p> <p>Has the talent to be that second guy for Brentwood. Tough,strong and a great build. Really smooth player. Looks very natural with the ball. Lacks game experience but watch out as he matures with his game. Already possesses a high skill set.</p> <p><strong>Messiah CollIns       6”4.       2022                    Brentwood HS</strong></p> <p>Don’t feel sorry for perennial league champs. As you can see they are loaded with young talent. Long wing span. Challenges shots without fouling. Finds way to get his team extra possessions. Makes a difference when he’s in the game. Improving on his handle.</p> <p><strong>Ronald Lawrence     6”4.         2021.                Central  Islip HS</strong></p> <p>A defensive presence. Takes charges. Sacrifices his body for the team. Rim protector. Improving on his offensive skills.</p> <p><strong>Russel Antwi            6”2.         2021                  Central Islip HS</strong></p> <p> Central Islip will have to make up a lot of points, after losing top scorer Ty-Shon Pannell to graduation. Russel will be called on to help. Can play with his back to the basket. Coach even uses him in isolation on the inside. Explosive first step. Extremely athletic. Plays through contact. Looking for more consistency on his shot.
