JP Patterson (Belleville West – 2021)
Patterson is a 6’2” wing with nice length and plus athleticism. The long and rangy two guard was at his best using his long strides attacking off the bounce slashing for scores at the cup. Pushed it in transition going coast to coast. Hit one corner three when we saw, but was definitely most effective getting downhill.
Eli Brown (Paducah Tilghman, KY – 2021)
This 6’3” shooting guard is primed for a monster season is Kentucky. Good size off guard that can score from multiple levels. Clean looking jump shot, but in this setting it was more his driving game that was effective. Used his athleticism getting to the rim for acrobatic conversions. Has a burst with the ball. Solid passer for a wing as well.
Eli Downen Eli Downen 6'5" | SF Carterville | 2021 State IL (Carterville – 2021)
This thick bodied 6’5” forward has been extremely productive in each and every setting we have seen him in over the last six months. Excellent spot up shooter that hit them at a high clip in this setting. Also really likes to knock down one dribble mid-range shots. Tough rebounder in his area and is a physical post defender. Going to be a great get for a small college.
Jacob Stoneburner (Effingham – 2021)
New name here as Stoneburner is a strong bodied wing that brought toughness on the glass and can hit an occasional shot. Should be a nice role player for a loaded Effingham squad.
Nathan Thompson Nathan Thompson 6'4" | SF Effingham | 2021 State IL (Effingham – 2021)
Thompson started out with a big outing in the first game. The 6’5” small forward is a plus shooter from beyond the arc that gets on the offensive glass for points. His ability to put it on the deck with consistency has elevated his game. Steal at the small college level!
Parker Wolfe Parker Wolfe 5'11" | PG Effingham | 2021 State IL (Effingham – 2021)
Wolfe is one of the most electric scorers in southern Illinois. The 6’0” lefty has deep range on his three point shot which he loves to run into in transition. In the jamboree he also got to the rim over and over again. Crafty finisher that has a knack for finishing around defenders.
Braden Bryant Braden Bryant 6'1" | SG Cashton | 2021 State IL (Mascoutah – 2021)
Bryant is a left handed two guard that can hit an open shot. Doesn’t get any lift on his jumper. Also mixed in several acrobatic layups in the lane and a couple quick passes.
Cedric Rhodes (Mascoutah – 2021)
This Mascoutah 5’10” guard is a big bodied combo that rebounded well and scored in transition.
Dre’ Scott Dre’ Scott 6'4" | SG Pinckneyville | 2021 State IL (Pinckneyville – 2021)
Scott was very impressive in this setting. The 6’5” small forward is a big and strong wing that showcased his entire game. He started off shooting it at a great clip drilling several mid-range shots and then extending it to three. Extremely active on the glass on both ends. His burst and ability to score in transition was what set him apart from everyone else. Big and strong wing that brings athleticism to the table.
Kanon Webb (Goreville – 2021)
Webb is a 6’0” guard that knocked in several jump shots from both mid-range and three during the game we saw.
Carson Prost Carson Prost 6'1" | SG Mt. Vernon | 2021 State IL (Mt. Vernon – 2021)
Prost is primed for a monster season at Mt. Vernon. The two guard stands at 6’3” with a plus three point shot. Also mixed in several pull ups throughout the day. Crisp passer and should develop into a solid defender at the small college level.
Buzz Ritzel Buzz Ritzel 6'2" | SG Trinity Academy | 2021 State IL (Nashville – 2021)
Ritzel is a name that keeps popping up throughout the summer and fall. Aggressive taking it to the basket and also is a good mid-range shooter.
