The new rankings are out! Thanks to re-class and transfers, the c/o 2022 has gone from a top heavy group to a deep talented one. With so many new arrivals it was impossible to get them all in one article. Here’s a look at part 3 of the newcomers to our updated player rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="999101" first="Christian" last="Ware"] 6’2 SG SLAM (#69) - Ware had a 3 inch growth spurt over the Spring. This jump in height along with his ability to shoot the basketball contributed greatly to his first appearance in the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="1006753" first="Demitrius" last="Howard"] 6’6 PF Arbor View (#70) - Howard is a lean fluid rim runner with size and length. Showed the ability to protect the rim, as well as a knack for controlling the offensive backboards. With AV losing so many seniors from last season, the 6’6 post may just have the opportunity to play his way up the list.

[player_tooltip player_id="1006755" first="Colson" last="Madruga"] 6’5 PF Lake Mead Christian Academy (#71) (featured image) - If not for him recovering from a knee injury last season, Madruga would have probably already been on the list. The 4 man can stretch the floor out to about 18 and is a bruising low post defender and rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id="1020769" first="Dominic" last="Washington"] 5’9 PG Green Valley (#67) - If you follow PH, then you know how much I like jitterbug PG’s. Washington is the perfect example of that. An underrated defender, he excels when he can use his lateral quickness and hands to disrupt ballhandlers.

[player_tooltip player_id="1039858" first="Jack" last="Ferrence"] 5’11 SG Lake Mead Christian Academy (#72) - Ferrance is one of the more underrated shooters in the state. He likes to get his off catch and shoot opportunities, but is also capable of knocking in shots off 1 dribble. He had a good season for LMCA last year, but makes the list for his willingness to go out and compete against top competition this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="990584" first="David" last="Thurman"] 6’3 PF Green Valley Christian (#77) - Thurman makes his first appearance on the list. The undersized post has the ability to finish around the basket with his strong hand. His scoring and rebounding contributed heavily last season to GVC’s 17 wins.
