Offseason Accolades: 2021 Top Stock Risers

6-4 PG [player_tooltip player_id="869593" first="Jaden" last="Harris"] – Team Huncho – Norcross

Often overshadowed at Norcross, [player_tooltip player_id="869593" first="Jaden" last="Harris"] broke out in a big way this offseason, scoring the ball and getting others involved. Once a known name from Stratford Academy, Harris’ move to Norcross slowed down his high school production but playing at an elite level surely has helped his game. This summer Harris showed off his quick ball handling and overall strength when getting to the hoop. Add in a reliable outside shot and you have a prospect that is starting to peak at the right time.

Following a solid start to the travel ball season, [player_tooltip player_id="806746" first="Jax" last="Bouknight"] exploded over his final tournaments and is now one of the hottest guards in Georgia. Swift with the ball in his hands, Bouknight can blaze past defenses and shoot the lights out. He knows how to snake his way around defenders in the lane and finish with floaters. He always has his head up in transition and looks to make the extra pass. D-II schools have started to heat up his phone while D-I’s feel like they may be on the horizon.

6-6 F [player_tooltip player_id="1011330" first="JaHeim" last="Robinson"] – Atlanta Celtics South – Johnson-Savannah

Nobody knew who [player_tooltip player_id="1011330" first="JaHeim" last="Robinson"] was heading into the summer. He lost a year of varsity action after transferring into Johnson-Savannah. Now that he will be eligible, he will make a huge impact inside for the Atomsmashers. At 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds, Robinson blends raw athleticism with head turning skill. Robinson can play every position on the floor. He’s adept at the point forward spot and can both score himself and create for others. He’s exceptionally nimble and handles the ball like a guard when pressured. Robinson has soft hands and bulls his way around the basket, cleaning up misses and converting at a high rate. Robinson has plenty of tools to be successful at the next level.

6-3 G [player_tooltip player_id="1011329" first="Jaeden" last="Marshall"] – Atlanta Celtics South – Richmond Hill

[player_tooltip player_id="1011329" first="Jaeden" last="Marshall"] showed flashes throughout the summer of what could end up being a memorable senior season. Marshall is a strong guard that can play 1-3. He’s at his best when he gets downhill. Marshall is strong enough to play bully ball against smaller defenders. He’s got a solid mid-range jumper and has a three-point shot which is improving. Marshall is a good rebounder for his position and holds upside as a physical perimeter defender. He is worthy of some D-II looks.

6-4 G [player_tooltip player_id="1020668" first="Steven" last="Lyles"] – MVA Outlawz – Legacy Academy

All the measurables are there for [player_tooltip player_id="1020668" first="Steven" last="Lyles"] to breakout. He was consistently productive throughout the offseason, stuffing the stat sheet nightly for the MVA Outlawz. Lyles is a great athlete with super bounce. He uses those fast twitch muscles help him cover ground in the blink of an eye and swat away shots. His outside shot is getting better and better and he has learned how to become a distributor. Lyles has the potential to have a very good collegiate career. The more reps, the better for the high motor guard.

6-6 F [player_tooltip player_id="1011331" first="Deandre" last="Smart"] – AC Georgia – New Hampstead

A true workhorse on the low block, [player_tooltip player_id="1011331" first="Deandre" last="Smart"] emerged over the summer as one of the state’s premier rebounders. He’s a double-double threat nightly with his nose for the ball. Smart is a powerful player that knows how to block out and use angles to create rebounding opportunities. He finishes strong inside and can occasionally attack from the perimeter. His consistency has garnered a lot of attention. He’s a no-brainer at the D-II level with some D-I’s potentially getting involved eventually with the high academic post.

6-3 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1011328" first="Derrick" last="Harris Jr."] – AC Georgia – Mitchell County

Mannie Harris lit the state on fire with his scoring prowess. The Thrilla from Camilla put everyone on notice. He’s a sharp shooter, a good athlete that can slice his way to the lane and he’s a reliable playmaker. Harris has a lot of tools and intangibles that college programs look for. Mid-Majors started busting down his door in July. He’s got a huge season ahead of him and more offers to come.

6-6 SG [player_tooltip player_id="948589" first="Travis" last="Harper"] – Team GA Magic – St. Anne-Pacelli

Deuce Harper rose his stock early in the offseason with a handful of offers. The lanky wing has a pure stroke and can catch fire from all over. He’s got big time bounce when he attacks the rack and can score it from the mid-range. His confidence looks like its through the roof. He should be on Low Major and Mid-Major radars if he isn’t already. He has improved every single season and has a big senior year ahead of him.
