For those who know the state, [player_tooltip player_id="754271" first="Jatarion" last="Warren"] is far from being a new name on the scene. He’s had success for a handful of years on the varsity level and has made a strong summer push to reenter his name into the statewide discussion as one of the most versatile forwards Georgia has to offer. At 6-foot-6, Warren is a quick athlete that impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He excels as a rim protector with his leaping ability and uses that same bounce to finish with authority on offense. Warren scores out of the post and on the perimeter. He’s got a high release point near his ear, but its an accurate shot. He’s able to hit turnarounds off the block and has the capability to stretch the defense all the way to the three-point line. Warren can attack the basket off the dribble primarily on straight-line drives. He has room for growth when it comes to creativity with the ball. JT is a valuable defender. He covers ground and can come from the weakside to swat away shots. He had 24 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 4 blocks in a loss to TNBC Elite, sinking two threes in the process. He’s worth a long look at the D-I level.

2021 6-3 CG William Peaks – North Atlanta Orangemen – Duluth

Peaks is a wiry guard with nice size of the perimeter. He has the length to be an effective defender both in a press and on-ball. Offensively, Peaks is a threat to score from beyond the arc. He does a good job of finding cracks in the defense and getting clean looks. He knocked down three threes en route to 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

2022 6-4 W [player_tooltip player_id="1045095" first="Autrey" last="Barnes"] – HYPE – Grady

It wasn’t his best scoring game, but [player_tooltip player_id="1045095" first="Autrey" last="Barnes"] proved his worth with a productive all-around floor game in a narrow 61-56 loss to Aim High. Barnes, a high-energy bouncy wing, chipped in in a variety of ways while his shot wasn’t falling. His long arms help him crash the glass, get into passing lanes and protect the rim. He finished with 5 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals and 4 blocks. A lot of his offense comes from cleaning up misses and slashing to the basket. Once he’s able to craft a consistent three-point shot, Barnes could become one of the more interesting prospects the state has to offer.

2022 6-1 G [player_tooltip player_id="1020285" first="Kenny" last="Orr"] – HYPE – Northgate

Orr provided toughness on defense and opportunistic offense for HYPE. The physically built guard can use his strength when getting to the basket and when defending on the perimeter. His rugged style of play can make smaller guards uncomfortable. Orr is willing to do the dirty work and the little things to help his team win. He had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals.

2022 5-11 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1045096" first="Amaru" last="Grosvenor"] – HYPE – Alpharetta

Amaru was a major spark on offense, especially in the first half. He found ways to snake his way to the basket and finish without getting his shot blocked. His smooth downhill assault kept pressure on the Aim High guards. Seeing the ball go through the hoop energized him on defense. Grosvenor is expected to start at point guard for Alpharetta this upcoming season. He had 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals in a momentum building performance.

There was nothing flashy about [player_tooltip player_id="1045092" first="Wade" last="Kahl"]’s team-high 12 points, 8 rebounds and 1 bock. After a two-point first half, Kahl established himself on the low block and took advantage of HYPE’s lack of a big man. He scored on four compact hook shots over his left shoulder. When needed, he would even throw in a subtle ball fake to get his defender off balance just enough. Kahl had no wasted movements and knew exactly what he wanted to do each time he touched the ball. It was an offensive clinic on the low block. I like his future.

[player_tooltip player_id="1045093" first="Tomiwa" last="Adetosoye"] continued his upward trajectory with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. His defense really sparked his offense as he was able to get out into transition. The athletic 15-year-old showed some easy lift as he punched in a dunk on the break. Adetosoye has a solid all-around game. His playmaking has looked good this summer and he has proven he can score in a multitude of ways. With continued development, Adetosoye could be nice piece at the next level.
