The event hosted by Hard 2 Guard, presented a preseason College Virtual Showcase. Here are the top 5 Forwards who are taking no days off during this pandemic.
Markel Horne-2021-F-Harrisburg High School
Markel is a 6’4 wing that can guard every position. On offense, he can handle the ball and knock down shots beyond the arc. During the showcase, he was 3-5 beyond the arc and 6-10 on layups and mid range jumpers. Markel is a very aggressive player who is looking to score when he touches the ball.
Tyler Houser-2022-F-Cedar Cliff High School
Standing at 6’9, Tyler is a special player. He presented a problem during the showcase because he was able to hit shots from all over the court. He also has a nice shot fake that can get his defender off their feet, and allow him to put it on the floor to get the rack. Tyler runs the floor very well and with the right pieces around him this season, he will elevate Cedar Cliff tremendously.
Kenyon Elliott-2021-G/F- Bishop McDevitt High School
Just another day in the office for Kenyon. He had a solid performance during the showcase with 5-7 shooting behind the arc. Events like this are just building up his confidence for the regular season.
Izaiah Bowen-Perinn-2021-F-Central Dauphin East High School
Izaiah is a leaper. At 6’3, Izaiah loves to get above the rim. His athletic ability allows him to defend players much bigger than him. Over the weekend, he collected 14 rebounds and 10 points.
Nick Strain-2021-G/F- Cedar Cliff High School
Nick is a 6’3 wing that can cover positions 1-4. He is a good defender and looks to score when he gets the opportunity. He displayed the ability to score with three pointers, mid-range, and layups. He and Tyler Houser should be a nice combo for the upcoming season.
