New Additions

[player_tooltip player_id="1041910" first="Petia" last="Dogale"] | 6-6 PF | Austin High

Ranking: #12

Dogale went from unranked in the Austin area to being ranked number 144 in Texas, and number 12 in the Austin-metroplex, after an impressive summer playing with T.H.P. Elite on the grassroots circuit. Dogale is a rim protector and aggressive defender who specializes in blocks and boards. An explosive athlete with long arms, Dogale had several highlight dunks this summer to pair with his high floor defensive ability. A high effort player with a non-stop motor, Dogale has the potential to rise up the rankings with a strong senior year and his ability to get stronger and add to his offensive game.

Alfred Ortiz | 5-9 PG | Homeschool

Ranking: #23

Ortiz makes his debut on the 2021 Austin Rankings as the number 9 point guard in the area. The homeschooled prospect plays with the Round Rock Raiders and earned several accolades during his junior season, including Big South All-Region Team and Region Point Guard of the Year. Ortiz is ultra-quick on the hardwood and does a great job of blowing by defenders to the basket. Explosive finishing at the rim, and can finish with either hand. Shows great body control, with a nice floater in the lane. Ortiz is also an active defender, jumping passing lanes and pickpocketing opponents.

Blake Nielsen | 6-3 SG | Austin Westlake

Ranking: #38

Nielsen impressed on the summer grassroots circuit with his deep-range shooting ability. Nielsen played with T.H.P. Elite, providing a consistent shooting option from three-point territory. He can light it up in a hurry, with a good quick release, and has NBA range. Nielsen plays with an absolutely loaded roster at Austin Westlake, and he will be a key rotational player during his senior season as a great spot-up shooter.

Kayden Crosby | 6-7 SF | Pflugerville Hendrickson

Ranking: #39

A tweener that can play either forward position, Crosby projects best at small forward or as a stretch four. Crosby runs the floor well and is active in the paint, going up strong for rebounds and put-back opportunities. Has smooth takes to the basket where he can use his length to finish over opponents. He can also pick-and-pop, with the ability to hit from beyond-the-arc. Crosby quickly found himself in the rankings after some eye-opening play with ASAK Elite this summer, and he could see himself skyrocket up the rankings with a big senior season with Hendrickson.
