<p>Grassroots basketball is still rolling for some teams from Michigan. The state’s athletes have been very impressive so far, and that trend has continued so far this weekend. Here are some of the "Weekend Warriors" that have played big in the events so far.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="986250" first="Amonte" last="Allen"] (2023, PG, Grand Blanc, Lansing Prospectors)</strong></p>
<p>Allen broke out with a 22 point performance in Fort Wayne. He continues to trend toward elite as a scorer and playmaker.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="864017" first="Antheis" last="Bolden"] (2022, CG, Melvindale, All Out Elite)</strong></p>
<p>The kid has talent, that’s for sure. He looks like a versatile scorer that can handle as well. Bolden had 18 points in a win and 7 points in a tough loss.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863935" first="Max" last="Burton"] (2022, SF, Williamston, Reach Legends)</strong></p>
<p>Burton is skilled from head to toe with his high basketball IQ and great footwork. In 2 games, he had 13 points and 7 rebounds, followed by a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="811128" first="Ethan" last="Erickson"] (2021, SG, Forest Hills Northern, GR Storm)</strong></p>
<p>There’s a reason that his name keeps popping up in these articles. He’s an elite shooter with underrated athleticism. Erickson had 17 points and 12 points in GR Storm’s 2 victories.</p>
<p><strong>Jeremiah Henderson (2022, PG, Detroit CMA, All Out Elite)</strong></p>
<p>Henderson showed the ability to hunt and find buckets during high school season. That appeared again so far this weekend. He had 20 points in the first game for All Out Elite and had 16 points in the second contest.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="986893" first="Tyler" last="Johnson"] (2021, SG, Croswell-Lexington, Oakland Elite)</strong></p>
<p>Johnson has really sent a message this summer. In the first game, he went off for 27 points shooting 8-10 from behind the arc. In his second game he had 6 points, both coming on triples. Johnson was obviously critical to a 2-0 team start.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="814614" first="Jesse" last="Lawson"] Jr. (2021, CG, Walled Lake Northern, Michigan Cagers)</strong></p>
<p>The Michigan Cagers looked really solid yesterday, and Lawson Jr. was a big reason why. His game looked consistent and expansive. To open things up, he had 12 points. In the later game, Lawson Jr. notched a triple-double with 11 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds.</p>
<p><strong>Anthony Massey (2022, SF, Detroit Renaissance, All Out Elite)</strong></p>
<p>Massey is sneaking out from under the radar. He really looked to be on the verge of big things this weekend. Massey had a 17 point game.</p>
<p><strong>Kobe Vanderwoude (2021, PG, Caledonia, MBA)</strong></p>
<p>Vanderwoude has had a really nice summer. He’s consistently made plays with the pass and hit open jumpers with consistency. Vanderwoude had a 23 point game, with 15 of those coming from deep.</p>
<p><strong>Zach Velthouse (2022, F, Unity Christian, GR Storm)</strong></p>
<p>Velthouse has found a niche and expanded his game from there. He’s always been a tough kid and a hustle player. Velthouse scored 18 points and 15 points in 2 games.</p>
