In an effort to provide new and unique ways to cover prospects, we thought it would be important to give some coverage to those that might not always get it. To do that, we will be digging deep into each conference in the state.

We will be breaking down each conference starting with the Class of 2021 first to show college coaches who they need to be placing a value on heading into the year.

We will continue to go through each conference to try and hit as many players as possible with the hopes of helping these seniors-to-be catch the attention of prospective college coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id="530135" first="Keaton" last="Kutcher"] - Mount Vernon

Mount Vernon had two incredibly memorable wins to reach the Class 3A state tournament a year ago, surviving against Dubuque Wahlert before clipping Central DeWitt.

While they were bested by conference rival Clear Creek-Amana at state, the return of 20-point scorer [player_tooltip player_id="530135" first="Keaton" last="Kutcher"] bodes well for the year.

Kutcher shot almost 42 percent from the field, 40 percent from the three-point line and over 77 percent at the charity stripe to score 460 points. He also collected 75 rebounds, dished out 80 assists and racked up 52 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id="796121" first="Kyle" last="Kelley"] - West Delaware

West Delaware relied on [player_tooltip player_id="796121" first="Kyle" last="Kelley"] last year and the Class of 2021 guard delivered.

Kelley scored 324 points in 22 games, adding 111 rebounds, 50 assists and 20 steals. He made over 38 percent of his field goals and knocked down 30 three-pointers while also going 74-for-102 at the free throw line.

[player_tooltip player_id="964866" first="Gage" last="Franck"] - Marion

Marion battled night in and night out in the league, reaching a substate championship last year before falling to Center Point-Urbana.

The Indians lose leading scorer [player_tooltip player_id="801851" first="Will" last="Henricksen"] to graduation, but Class of 2021’s [player_tooltip player_id="964866" first="Gage" last="Franck"] is ready to take over the role of leader.

Franck scored 254 point son 45 percent shooting with 95 rebounds, 71 assists and 42 steals. He also knocked down 33 three-pointers and made 72.5 percent of his free throws.

[player_tooltip player_id="796141" first="Christian" last="Withrow"] - Clear Creek-Amana

[player_tooltip player_id="796172" first="TJ" last="Bollers"] might get headlines on the football field for Clear Creek-Amana, but on the basketball court, [player_tooltip player_id="796141" first="Christian" last="Withrow"] leads the Clippers.

Withrow scored 429 points last year, averaging almost 16 a game to lead Clear Creek-Amana to a third place finish in Class 3A at state.

The West division champions of the conference will be looking for even more out of Withrow, who also had 162 rebounds, 74 assists and 34 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id="964923" first="Mike" last="Potter"] - Clear Creek Amana

Another key figure to keep an eye on from the WaMaC is Clear Creek-Amana’s [player_tooltip player_id="964923" first="Mike" last="Potter"].

As a junior, Potter recorded 224 points with 152 rebounds, 55 assists and 28 steals, even blocking 11 shots. He made almost 48 percent of his field goals and also sank almost 70 percent of his 101 free throw tries.
