So, it only made sense that I publish a third installment in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transfer Watch series.
Among those highlighted in today’s list of transfers is a 1st Team All-State player with numerous D-I offers.
Solo Bombara – 6’7″ / Junior / Forward: From Cardinal O’Hara to Neumann-Goretti. Bombara is a freak athlete who was solid contributor (7.6 ppg.) for an O’Hara squad that won 15 games last season. A tremendous wingspan and a ridiculous vertical make Bombara a force on the boards at both ends of the court. In the summer with Philly Supreme AAU, Bombara specializes in filling the lanes on the break and finishing with authority. In Summer 2020, he has displayed an improved face up game from the block area.
Allen Cieslak – 5’10” / Sophomore / Combo Guard: From Haverford HS to Devon Prep. In 2019-20 Cieslak supplied instant offense off Haverford’s bench and helped push the Fords to an 11-game winning streak and the Central League tournament title. Cieslak is a knock down shooter from three point range who only needs a sliver of room to get off his watery jump shot. As a bonus to his high level shooting skills, Cieslak can slide over to the PG spot where his slick handles and excellent court vision make him a very solid floor general. Over this summer, Cieslak was very impressive playing both guard spots for East Coast Power AAU (King of Prussia, PA).
Quadir Copeland – 6’6” / Junior / Point Guard: From Gettysburg to Life Center Academy (NJ). As a 1st Team Class 5A All-State selection and a Top 100 nationally ranked player, Copeland possess all of the traits of an elite point guard – high basketball IQ, great handles, excellent court vision, passing skills, etc. What separates Copeland from the other nationally ranked lead guards is that he can score the ball at will (22 ppg.) and his size makes him a force on the boards (11 rpg.). In a recent summer run for Team Final AAU, Copeland posted 29 points & 15 rebounds all while being the primary ball handler. Holds offers from Maryland, Miami, Saint Joe’s and Penn State.
Landon Shivers – 6’9″ / Junior / Forward: From Atlantic Christian (NJ) to Life Center Academy (NJ). Shivers is a long athlete who can finish around the rim in traffic. He can also a score via a smooth jump shot with range that extends out to the arc. Still, Shivers is best known for being a monster on the glass and has already snared 500+ rebounds in his varsity basketball career. In 2019-20, the big man posted 16 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest and notched seven double-doubles. With his elite shot blocking skills, Shivers has the ability to impact the game at the defensive end as well. Of special note in this area was his 12 swats vs. King Christian (Cherry Hill, NJ).
Elmarko Jackson – 6’3’ / Sophomore / Point Guard: From St. Augustine (Richland, NJ) to Academy of the New Church. A star freshman at St. Augustine Prep in 2019-20, Jackson (13 ppg.) will transfer and reclass at ANC for the upcoming school year. ANC is getting a Russell Westbrook type guard — very aggressive, athletic (as hell), rugged and skilled. The difference is, Jackson can actually shoot the rock. He has shown a greatly improved ability to hit the jumper while playing for WE R1 during this abbreviated summer season. Holds numerous offers, including from Sienna, Rider, GWU and Cal-Berkeley. Jackson is a two sport athlete who is also an All-State lacrosse player.
