We covered Minnesota live, but don’t fear Illinois teams that were in Kansas City we got you covered too! All this week we are rolling out our Film Room evaluations from the event! Here is The Finale Film Room: Illinois Bears Walker 17U!
Eli Brown (Paduch Tilghman, KY – 2021)
Brown is a sleeper prospect out of the state of Kentucky just across the border that has some intriguing tools for the next level. The two guard is 6’3” with good length and a projectable frame. He can really shoot the basketball both off the dribble and catch. From mid-range and three. Clean looking shot that goes down fairly consistently. He had 17 in the bracket title game.
Braden Flanagan Braden Flanagan 5'10" | PG Olney | 2021 IN (Olney – 2021)
Flanagan is a gritty point guard at 5’11” that gets absolutely everything he has out of his ability. The high IQ point guard gets after opposing guards with his pesky defense. On the offensive end he throws crisp passes, has a sweet floater game, and can hit an open three ball. Finished with 12 points.
Nathan Thompson Nathan Thompson 6'4" | SF Effingham | 2021 State IL (Effingham – 2021)
Thompson has most definitely seen his stock rise over the last several weeks. First it was at the Back 2 School Camp and then with the Bears in KC. The small forward has nice size at 6’4” to be a tall three man at the small college level and can even play some four when needed. Super active on the offensive glass crashing it over and over for second chance points. Went for 13 points.
Landon Zurliene Landon Zurliene 6'4" | SG Fairfield | 2021 State IL (Fairfield – 2021)
This skilled southern Illinois wing stands at 6’4” with quality athleticism. He can put it on the deck as he showed in the half court on runner and then in the full court off a steal for a coast to coast conversion. Also connected on a deep three. Like his overall skilled game with solid athleticism from the wing spot. Priority small college recruit that D2s should take a look at.
Noah Livingston Noah Livingston 6'1" | PG Casey Westfield | 2021 State IL (Casey Westfield – 2021)
Livingston is a 6’1” point guard with a lot of moxie. He is a crisp ball handler which consistently sets up his stop and pop pull up jumper which was effective from the baseline in his 10 point outing. Shooting point guard that is a solid passer as well.
