Sacramento part of the NorCal area that PH covers for high school hoops. The area is loaded with potential next level prospects in this class of 2022, and others. Here’s my list of players who can raise their stock in this area with two full seasons ahead.

[player_tooltip player_id="966273" first="Anthony" last="Williams"] 6’8 Forward Whitney HS ( Rocklin, CA)

An athletic forward who’s active on the court is still growing into his body and developing his skill set. He’s a good ball handler for a player his size. He can be most effective 15 ft and in with a good one dribble drive into the paint. He has an improving mid-range shot. At 6’8 he’s expected to get more rebounds and blocks, with some presence on the defensive end. Continued improvement in these areas we’ll see his stock rise. He’s a double double guy at this level.

[player_tooltip player_id="766847" first="Leo" last="Wagner"] 6’4 Wing, West Campus, HS (Sacramento, CA)

Wagner’s a high IQ player on the court, he plays at a good pace and doesn’t get caught up in the moment when things get tough, he’s been a consistent player when it comes to scoring and rebounding, 20.9 ppg, to go with 9 boards a game. He has to be accounted for on the wings with his ability to catch and shoot with range, and take it off the dribble. At 6’4 he uses his body well in the post against taller players to rebound. Wagner’s a versatile player with good passing, and scoring from different angles on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="766846" first="Julian" last="Naibose"] 6’4 Guard, Inderkum HS (Sacramento, CA)

Naibose is an athletic guard with good size for the position. He has an improving skill set along with athleticism that could see his stock rise if he continues to develop over the next couple of seasons. He has good hops in and around the post area, and uses it to take on taller defenders. He brings good energy to the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="766851" first="Keandre" last="Burns"] 6’8 Post, Yuba City HS ( Yuba City, CA)

Burns a good size prospect still seems kind of raw, but has an upside to his game. His fundamentals are solid, he seems comfortable shooting over both shoulders, he can finish with either hand around the rim. He shows good shooting form and is fairly effective from the high post and in. His size, and length gives him presence in the paint on the defensive end. Improving his strength and becoming more aggressive on the court will see his stock rise. He’s a double, double guy at this level.

[player_tooltip player_id="766869" first="Milo" last="Goehring"] 6’6 Forward, Nevada Union HS (Grass Valley, CA)

Goering is another player from the area who’s still developing his skill set and brings a big body to the court. He’s somewhat physical in the way he plays, using his body well for rebounding, setting screens and blocking out bigger defenders. He has a consistent jump hook as a go to move, but needs to develop other moves and efficiency on the block.

[player_tooltip player_id="766854" first="Jason" last="Mathews"] 5’8 Point Guard, Grant HS (Sacramento, CA)

Has the tools to develop into a quality guard. Good handles, fast with the ball in transition, he changes speeds well, and can beat his man off the dribble, with a good burst of speed off the initial attack, he has quality mid-range jumper and hits the 3 on occasion. He’ll have to improve his patience and decision making.
