Players Only League Day 2: Top Standouts

<p>Day one of the Players Only League was full of good games and the second day did not disappoint. Some players built on their games from yesterday, while others improved their play after the opening day. Here are the top standouts from the second day of the Players Only League.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900353" first="Isaiah" last="Hill"], 6’3 SG NJ Panthers 17U (Union Catholic) 2021</strong></p> <p>Hill may have started the second day slow, but he burst out with a strong second half as Hoop Heaven Hawks Elite could not slow him down. The athletic 6’3 guard made several tough finishes around the rim and knew how to draw contact. Hill shot the ball with confidence as he nailed a stepback triple late in the second half. He played tough defense and handled the ball on occasion. Hill is a talented guard prospect who should continue to have strong performances for the NJ Panthers 17U squad.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1013098" first="Noah" last="Taylor"], 6’4 SF NJ Panthers 15U (Colonia) 2023</strong></p> <p>Taylor parlayed his success from yesterday with another strong performance on the second day of the Players Only League. The 6’4 forward used his strength to finish around the basket and was unafraid of drawing contact. Taylor ripped down rebounds on both ends of the floor and played solid defense. His athleticism and quick hands helped the 15U team turn up the pressure in their game. Taylor is a skilled, tough forward prospect who helps the NJ Panthers 15U team play well on both ends of the floor.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1018568" first="Cameron" last="Campbell"], 5’10 PG Unity Legends 16U (Dayton) 2022</strong></p> <p>Campbell played for both Unity Legends 16U teams and had a solid showing on the day. The 5’10 guard attacked the basket with a purpose and was drawing contact all day. Campbell knows how to finish around the rim and showed off his big-time athleticism by grabbing the rim on a couple of put-back attempts. He played tough on-ball defense and did a nice job running the offense. Campbell is an athletic point guard prospect who is a good backcourt option for the Unity Legends 16U team.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="929513" first="Ryan" last="Cassels"], 5’10 PG NJ Panthers 17U Select (Saddle River Day) 2021</strong></p> <p>Cassels may not have started the game for the NJ Panthers 17U Select team, but he made his impact right away. The 5’10 guard knocked down three triples on the game as he showed a quick release on his shot. Cassels shoots the ball with extreme confidence and is unafraid of pulling up in transition. He moved well off the ball and played good defense throughout the day. Cassels is a big-time shooter who helps the NJ Panthers 17U Select stretch the floor.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1016635" first="Joe" last="Lardaro"], 6’5 SF/PF Hoop Heaven Hawks Elite (Freehold Township) 2021</strong></p> <p>The Hawks may have fell to the NJ Panthers 17U, but that does not take away from Lardaro’s performance. The 6’5 forward was a force down low as he muscled shots through traffic and drew contact down low all game. Lardaro showed off a nice touch down low as he was the main source of offense for the Hawks. He was relentless on the glass and played solid post defense despite being significantly undersized.
