Physically Dominant Guards

<p>If you have a physical guard, the night for the opposing team just became significantly harder. Some guards dominate with their physicality either via length, speed, strength or height. VA houses some pretty physically imposing guards for one reason or another. Down below are some of these young men.</p> <p>Raymond Bellamy- 6’5 2021 CG</p> <p>-Exceptional length. Can dominate the game by playing passing lanes.</p> <p>-Has a very natural feel for the game. This should boost his potential by a fair margin.</p> <p>-At 6’5 running the point, very few guards will be able to shoot over his closeouts.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="793100" first="Jordan" last="Battle"]- 6’3 2021 CG</p> <p>-Absolutely exceptional when it comes to finishing with contact.</p> <p>-Finishes with either hand.</p> <p>-Knows how to keep defenders on his hip and uses his strength to bully right past them to the cup.</p> <p>-Very hard for opposing guards to get through him given his strength.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="697107" first="Marcus" last="Banks"] Jr- 6’4 2021 CG</p> <p>-Elite scoring instincts. Has shown he can stroke it from deep at an efficient clip.</p> <p>-Has shown he has the awareness to pass the rock and post up his smaller guard defenders. This makes him a dangerous all purpose scorer.</p> <p>-Shows up in big games. Had 30+ in a playoff game.</p> <p>-Can run either guard spot. Becomes even more dangerous if he has a strong supporting cast.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="815598" first="Ihsan" last="Duncan"]- 6’1 2022 CG</p> <p>-Even though he is the shortest guard on the list, Duncan is the one who is most likely to leave you bruised.</p> <p>-Duncan plays like a veteran. His maturity and toughness on the court can rub off amazingly on his team.</p> <p>-Duncan is insanely aggressive and seems to relish competition.</p> <p>-Duncan has a patient game that allows him to utilize his strength and composure. He probes the defense and stays low, keeping his man on his hip and uses his poise to pick apart the defense.</p>
