I had the opportunity to tune in to a few games from the Pangos Rocky Mountain Summit (Utah) recently. Some of the better programs on the West Coast are in attendance and giving basketball fans, as well as college coaches, the matchups people have long been waiting to see. Below are just some of the players who have played well in the games I have been able to catch.

2021 6’10 PF [player_tooltip player_id="611182" first="Paolo" last="Banchero"] (Seattle Rotary) - In the matchup against San Ysidro Border Boyz, Banchero had flashes of dominance inside. His strength, balance and body control to finish through contact is very impressive. Although his outside shot was not falling as much, Banchero has a big time all around impact on the game. He also did a quality job of moving his feet doubling and aggressively hedging on ball screens. The hedge forced a lot of turnovers and led to easy baskets in transition. The Duke commit seems to never disappoint.

2021 6’9 C [player_tooltip player_id="611183" first="Kaden" last="Perry"] (Seattle Rotary) - The Gonzaga commit meshes in perfectly with Rotary’s 17u group. His strength, energy and all around motor is as good as it gets at the high school level. Perry rebounds and finishes around the basket with the best of them. He makes for some easy assists for point guards [player_tooltip player_id="611203" first="Leo" last="DeBruhl"] and [player_tooltip player_id="611186" first="Nolan" last="Hickman"].

2021 6’3 PG [player_tooltip player_id="611203" first="Leo" last="DeBruhl"] (Seattle Rotary) - Had a really good game on the offensive side of the ball. DeBruhl assisted, handled with confidence and created opportunities for teammates, including multiple dimes and lobs that were right on target. A really solid D1 prospect!

2021 6’2 PG [player_tooltip player_id="611186" first="Nolan" last="Hickman"] (Seattle Rotary) - The Kentucky commit got things going more so in the second half, knocking down a couple of open threes and turning defense to offense. Hickman had multiple nice passes when he got into the seams of the defense.

2022 6’7 SF [player_tooltip player_id="674427" first="Quin" last="Patterson"] (Team LaVine 16u Gold) - Finished last night’s game with a 21-10 performance. The younger brother of current Montana State freshman [player_tooltip player_id="609373" first="Tyler" last="Patterson"], Quin is quickly blossoming into a similar shooter as his brother but a little stronger and better rebounder at the same stage of their career. Several Division 1 schools are on the rising junior year and will only be a matter of time before he is gaining the offers.

2021 5’10 PG [player_tooltip player_id="711297" first="Julian" last="Agosto"] (Team LaVine 17u Gold) - One of my favorite players in Washington’s 2021 class. Agosto displayed his high level energy on the defensive end and his ability to push the tempo on offense. A Division 1 prospect that will surely be able to help a program at the next level.
