The Rocky Mountain Summit got underway today, featuring some of the top players in country. In this article PH takes a look at some of the Day 1 Standouts.

Jaden Hasen 6’0 PG Idaho Premiere 2021 - (#2PHI 2021) - Tough hard nosed, scrappy defender. Hansen can knock down 3’s when left open, and has better than expected blow by ability. He helped a talented IP team to a easy pool play victory.

Keba Keita 6’8 C Empire 2022 (#3PHU 2022) (featured image) - Used his size and frame to dominate. Powerful athlete, with the ability to finish at or above the rim. Has decent hands, was basically a man among boys.

DJ Thomas 6’0 PG West Coast Elite 2024 (#2PHN 2024) - I underestimated Thomas’s shooting. He showed the ability to knock down 3’s with deep range. Handle is solid, and his IQ was off the charts as always.

Bradley Ezewiro 6’9 PF Belmont Shores 2021 - Ezewiro spent most of the day looking down at the rim. Explosive low post athlete that gets off the ground. He helped Belmont pull away from a game Salt Lake Rebels club in the second half.

[player_tooltip player_id="611182" first="Paolo" last="Banchero"] 6’10 PF Seattle Rotary 2021 (#1PHW 2021) - The Duke commit was every bit as good as advertised in helping Seattle Rotary to a victory. He has enormously powerful legs, he also has a terrific skill set which includes his perimeter ball skills as well as a dominating low post game.

Andrew Piperburgh 6’7 PF So Cal Buzz 2021 - I thought Pipersburgh played with the best motor on the day. He defended, rebounded and manufactured buckets, helping So Cal Buzz to a victory over Mikey WIlliams and the Border Boyz.

[player_tooltip player_id="611186" first="Nolan" last="Hickman"] 6’3 PG Seattle Rotary 2021 (#2PHW 2021) - The Kentucky commit played with his usual steady hand. Got anywhere he wanted to with the ball and showed the ability to finish at the rim in a variety of ways.
