<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Dinos Trigonis and the Pangos team dropped another thrilling event in the laps of basketball junkies. Caroling some of the most talented athletes in the city and surrounding areas is no simple task but they’ve done it again. The result a must watch two week event that culminates in a thrilling all star game. In this series, we’ll highlight top performers from each of the four classes.</p>
<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong>Shakiru Odunewu </strong></p>
<p>“Big Shak” isn’t a new name in the Texas basketball scene, but the performances he’s strung together over the last month should skyrocket his stock. A 6-10 brute that rebounds, dunks, and competes with ferocity. He’s buttered his bread as a rim runner while securing position just feet from the basket. He’s also displayed range on his jumper out to 15 feet with a step back jumper.</p>

<p>Zambie continues to impress with his intangibles and body. A strong frame and 6-6 height allow him to be a versatile force on the court. He plays hard, makes plays in transition, and defends at a high level. When he’s hitting his shots from deep down he brings a skill set that excels in most switch heavy systems. </p>

<p>The Duncanville product has been a glue guy on teams for years, including a top tier Southern Assault team. In this setting, Nicholas was able to show off a refined scoring package while handling the ball. You see why the nickname “Diesel” fits him so well when he’s barreling downhill and playing defense against players who have a size advantage.</p>

<p>McDavid continues our theme of versatile wings control of the game at 6-6. He plugs holes while giving you a secondary playmaker that can create his own shot. He’s a smooth athlete, choosing to show the goods on the break and the boards.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="959058" first="Will" last="Shepherd"]</strong></p>
<p>Listed at 6-8 or 6-9 by many sources, Shepherd gives you the size and shooting that fits the mold of a stretch four. He scored in double digits each game of the two week event, including shooting 34% from three on 9 attempts the first week. He’s not afraid to put the ball on the floor either, an action that leads to more assists than turnovers for the forward. The rising senior competed on the offensive boards, grabbing no less than 2 in each game.</p>
