This is my detailed scouting report on the most effective players from Georgia that attended the A-Town Showdown. This is an expansive list of some of the top talent that Georgia has to offer, all of which should receive a major uptick in recruiting as a result of a standout weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id="1011329" first="Jaeden" last="Marshall"] 2021 6’3 Atlanta Celtics South 17U Richmond Hill High (GA)

Jaeden is a skillful wing with a range of moves that allow him to do whatever he wants on the court. He is so comfortable and confident in his game it seems like he is out there trying out new passes and moves to get by defenders. He had many passes that he would wrap around a defender or intelligent touch passes to his bigs and even shooters in the corner. He is great at hanging in the air and firing crisp passes out, even on his way down.

Chance Haggary 2021 6’1 Atlanta Celtics South 17U Richmond Hill School (GA)

Chance is great at controlling the ball for a wing he fires creative passes into the paint. At the rim he is a capable finisher and displayed great control over his body to avoid defenders and contact. He has a multitude of hop and euro steps that he utilizes to get by defenders with ease. I would like to see continued development on his ability to keep his head up while attacking, as well as creating his own jump shot off a live dribble.

Wesley Ankomah 2021 6’6 Atlanta Celtics South 17U Luella High School (GA)

Wesley is a reliable forward who finishes well at the rim. His ability to avoid contact and outstretched defenders allowed him to finish with ease all weekend. Great finisher, moves around contact to finish

Jason Lynch 2021 6’2 Team Northside Chamblee High School (GA)

Jason is an athletic combo guard with an elite ability to finish at the rim. His control and footwork on hop steps and euro steps allowed him to get around defenders with ease. His confidence in his offensive game is not only at the rim, he is a good shooter when set and has the range to draw the defense out even further to contest his NBA range three-pointers. I would like to see continued development in his handle, ability to finish with his off-hand, and shot off the bounce.

Andrew Jacobs 2022 6’0 Deep South Blue Devils Etowah High School (GA)

Andrew is a confident playmaker who loves to create for others. His ability to put the ball on the floor and get by defenders was very impressive. He has active hands on the defensive end of the floor which he utilizes to wreak havoc on opposing guards. I would like to see more confidence in his ability to shoot off the bounce and finish at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="1020280" first="Dylan" last="Sears"] 2022 6’1 Deep South Blue Devils Creekview High School (GA)

Dylan is an athletic guard who moves around the floor well without the ball. His ability to get open and tightly come off of pin downs and be able to set and square himself makes him a dangerous weapon that you have to account for every time down the floor. I would like to see continued development in different shots and expanding his range and comfort in the midrange as well as behind the arc.

Joshua Hughes 2022 6’5 Deep South Blue Devils Etowah High School (GA)

Joshua is a lanky athletic wing with a great ability to put the ball on the floor and get by slower defenders. He can hit open shots when he gets his feet set and showed a great ability to stretch the floor for his teammates by drawing out bigs to come to contest his shots. I would like to see more development in his ability to finish at the rim and utilize his size to bully around smaller defenders, especially after smaller wings are switched onto him to stay in front of him and his ball-handling ability.

Isaiah Oden 2021 5’11 Hype Hawks 2021 Legacy Academy

Isaiah is a good spot-up shooter who is intelligent in his floor spacing and attacking weak spots in the defense. He had great control over the flow of the offense and displayed an ability to set up his teammates well. His overall feel for the game stood out this weekend, finding weak spots into whatever defense was thrown at him.

Andrew Hopperton 2021 6’5 Hype Hawks 2021 Roswell High School

Andrew is an athletic wing who is great at putting the ball on the deck and attacking the rim. He displayed great body control and athleticism to get to the basket with ease. I would like to see more work with his pull up jumper and shot off the catch.

Nate Brafford 2022 6’8 Atlanta Timberwolves White 17U Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School (GA)

Nate is a great rim protector, his size and ability to perform allows him to play up in age and he is still impressive. He is a great rebounder and is a force playing down low. He has great strength and ability to move around his opponents on both the offensive and defensive sides of the court. I would like to see more post moves and better mobility. If he improves his foot speed and agility to allow him to cover wings and run the floor with more effectiveness.

Christian Morris 2021 6’2 Atlanta Timberwolves Green 17U Westbrook Christian School

Christian is an intelligent sniper who moves well without the ball to find gaps in the defense along the midrange and the three-point line. His shooting ability and fearlessness to take a shot no matter the distance stood out this weekend, knocking down deep shots and striking fear into the hearts of the defense from his shooting ability. I would like to see continued work on his ability to beat defenders off the dribble and maintaining his aggressiveness as he drives toward the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="1020669" first="Robert" last="Reisman"] 2021 6’2 Atlanta Timberwolves Green 17U Gainsville High School

Robert is an athletic wing who is great at drawing contact and finishing tough plays. He is a very aware player who loves to set up his defenders to jump into him with simple head fakes and pump fakes. I would like to see continued development in his off the dribble jumper as well as his off-hand finishes at the rim. He displayed a good and crafty ability to get by his defenders, just would like to see more consistency in his scoring.

Adrian Hadaway 2022 6’6 Atlanta Timberwolves Green 17U Lafayette High School

Adrian is a huge paint presence with a great feel for the game and impressive post moves. He is strong at finishing at the rim especially for his size. Despite playing up, he was able to bully bigger opponents and really made his presence known all weekend. I was impressed the most by his footwork and agility at moving around the court. He moves really well without the basketball and is intelligent in running the break for easy looks around the rim in the full court.

Trayden Owens 2023 5’9 Atlanta Allstars 2023 Cherokee High School (GA)

Trayden is a scrappy undersized guard whose hustle and energy allow him to affect the game in a multitude of ways. His energy and relentless nature on the glass were incredibly impressive and he seemed to know exactly where the ball was going off of the rim. On defense, his active hands and feet allow him to stay in front of ball carriers and force turnovers. He loves to run in transition and put pressure on the defense by getting to the rim. His ability to get to the cup and draw contact created a lot of easy offense for himself.

[player_tooltip player_id="820267" first="Leslie" last="Black"] 2023 6’6 Georgia Elite Sports Invasion 17U Statesboro High School

Leslie is an incredible player, playing up in age along with most of this Georgia Elite Sports Invasion team. He is an athletic paint finisher who displays a lot of great strength and ability to fight through contact. For his age and limited time in the weight room, he is incredibly impressive finishing around the rim. He even displayed some advanced post moves including some drop steps that dropped my jaw.
