PLAYER OF THE YEAR - [player_tooltip player_id="804910" first="Nate" last="Abel"]

Abel led the league in scoring last season at 21.0 ppg. He also put up 5.2 rebound and nearly three assists per game. Over the summer, Abel has gotten even better offensively. A quick and skilled guard with shot-making and playmaking ability, Abel can carry a team on his back.

SURPRISE PLAYER - [player_tooltip player_id="1024442" first="Brody" last="Hartig"]

With [player_tooltip player_id="881027" first="Trey" last="Schroeder"] moving on, DeForest has a need at point guard. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="1024442" first="Brody" last="Hartig"] could be the answer. As a freshman, he averaged just under five points per game. A high-IQ floor general that can run an offense and provide lockdown ability on the other end, Hartig is poised for a nice jump in 2020-21.

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER - [player_tooltip player_id="880036" first="Zach" last="Bestor"]

He averaged 12.6 points per game as a junior, but there’s still plenty of upside for Bestor in 2020-21. Reedsburg is losing [player_tooltip player_id="880983" first="Will" last="Fuhrmann"], Max Tully, and Carter Daniels, who combined to average 40 points per game last season. Bestor has had a nice summer and shows ability to be ’the man’ offensively. That said, don’t be surprised if there’s a big uptick in his production given everything the Beavers as losing.
