Omaha Sports Academy invited many of the states top teams to compete in their second Jamboree of the summer on July 16th. Their was no shortage of size and skill in the gym on Thursday. These are the top 5 post players from the one day team camp.

1. [player_tooltip player_id="945976" first="Danair" last="Dempsey"]

Dempsey is a special athlete and was dominant on both ends of the floor. He blocked, contested, and changed countless shots. He also scored in a multitude of ways. He attacked the rim with the dribble and used his length and athleticism to finish over the top of defenders. Dempsey can get deep position and score with his back to the basket. He has touch to finish fall away jumpers and shot 41% from three as a junior.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="946021" first="Jack" last="Cooper"]

Cooper had an solid junior season, but looks ready to take it up a level in his final season with Millard South. The big man did a little bit of everything on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he stretched the floor as a shooter and attacked closeouts with straight line drives. Cooper also fought for position around the rim and showed soft touch on post hooks. Defensively, he uses his length to block shots and rebound at a high rate. Cooper played well enough during the first OSA Jamboree to pick up an offer from Midland University and he was just as effective in the second.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="890468" first="Frankie" last="Fidler"]

Fidler has great size and is skilled enough with the ball the play either forward position. He is great at creating shots for himself, especially in the midrange, where he can rise up and finish over the top of smaller defenders. Fidler is a mismatch that disrupts opponents with his length and versatility. He can still improve as a shooter from deep, but makes enough for defenses to respect it, and affects the game in so many other ways.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="890486" first="Graham" last="Cassoutt"]

Cassoutt is a deadeye shooter that can score from deep over contested hands. He did a good job of jab stepping defenders, moving them off their spot, and using the space to bury jumpers. When defenses started closing out hard, he attacked the hoop and finished at the rim with either hands. Cassoutt also competed on the defensive glass and made a couple two handed dunks in transition.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="1018806" first="Will" last="Kyle Jr."]

Kyle has impressed all summer long and the second OSA Jamboree was no different. He is an very long true big that plays his role extremely well. He is pretty agile for his size and rim runs in transition. He can defend in the post, block shots, and rebound at a high rate. Offensively, he is active on the blocks and finds space around the rim for dump offs and lobs that he can finish with soft touch. Kyle should find himself somewhere in the top 30 of the class of 2022 after the next update.
