Council Bluffs, Iowa- Saturday brought about day 2 of the 2020 Midwest Live Showcase event and there was plenty of great basketball going on throughout the day. Here are some of the standout performances from a full day of hoops in Council Bluffs.

[player_tooltip player_id="773443" first="Hunter" last="Sallis"]- OSA Crusaders Adidas 3SSB 17U

I’ll just get this out the way right away, [player_tooltip player_id="773443" first="Hunter" last="Sallis"] is very good at the whole playing basketball thing. There’s a reason he’s a five-star recruit with the likes on Kansas and North Carolina seeking to add him to their programs. Saturday night’s two showcase games for OSA’s top team reminded us just why. Sallis was everywhere all over the court and made everything he did look easy. In their first game of the night against Team Buddy Buckets, Sallis finished with 23 points and 8 rebounds, half of those were on the offensive end. He had 16 points in their second game against Kingdom Hoops Navy.

[player_tooltip player_id="727862" first="Tucker" last="DeVries"]- OSA Crusaders Adidas 3SSV 17U

DeVries, the son of Drake Head Coach Darian DeVries, plays his high school ball in Waukee, Iowa, but is playing with OSA this summer. In the second showcase game of the night for OSA, DeVries put on an offensive show, especially from 3 point range. He finished with 25 points, and 5 total made 3s as OSA ran away from Kingdom Hoops Navy 76-52. DeVries is a long forward with a great looking jump shot, who I’m sure will be hearing from more high major coaches in the near future.

[player_tooltip player_id="745355" first="Sean" last="Pedulla"]- Team Buddy Buckets 17U

Pedulla is a very crafty and hard-nosed point guard, who was all over the floor in the showcase matchup against OSA. He’s picked up some high mid-major and power five D1 offers in recent weeks and I can definitely see why. He makes things happen. Pedulla had 25 points in a hotly contested matchup with OSA that saw him matched up against talented guards like [player_tooltip player_id="773443" first="Hunter" last="Sallis"]. He was scoring the ball all day long and helped Buddy Buckets come out on top of their pool.

[player_tooltip player_id="955384" first="Ethan" last="Scott"]- Team Buddy Buckets 17U

[player_tooltip player_id="955384" first="Ethan" last="Scott"] might have been the best shooter in the building all of Saturday at the Iowa West Field House. He really set the nets on fire in a big 83-55 win over MOKAN Select. Scott had 15 points all coming on 3 point makes. Scott can score from just about anywhere and can make things happen for Team Buddy Buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id="727863" first="Payton" last="Sandfort"]- Kingdom Hoops Navy 17U

The second Waukee product to make this list, Sandfort showcased his range of scoring ability throughout the day. Sandfort is a long forward, who’s got a quick release and isn’t afraid to let it fly from deep. He tallied 20 points against Team Buddy Buckets and 15 in the showcase matchup against OSA Adidas.

[player_tooltip player_id="958187" first="Trevor" last="Kasischke"]- Nebraska Warriors 17U

The highest-scoring game of the day went to 6’3 the Wahoo product who exploded for 31 points on 11-13 shooting. He was 5-7 from 3 point range, and 4-6 from the free-throw line. Though the Warriors fell to Oklahoma Power 80-76, Kasischke put on an absolute show.

[player_tooltip player_id="890466" first="Jaren" last="Marshall"]- Iowa Barnstormers Gold 17U

For the second consecutive day the Omaha Central senior to be showcased his shooting range tallying 22 points while shooting 5-7 from 3 in a victory over Oklahoma Hustle in the first game of the day for Barnstormers.
