As many in the prep hoops community are aware, the DMV is loaded with talent. Whether in the public or private ranks, college coaches have a plethora of targets to pursue. Below you will find, listed alphabetically by last name, 10 potential stock risers from the DC Metro Area's 2021 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="954244" first="Elisha" last="Brown"] | Lanham Christian (MD)

[player_tooltip player_id="954244" first="Elisha" last="Brown"] is a blue-collar type player who is not afraid to do the dirty work. With Lanham Christian losing a ton of firepower, Brown could be putting together some huge lines on a nightly basis next season.

Aaron Cavezza | Christ Chapel (VA)

Listed at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, Cavezza is a big wing who excels on the defensive end. Christ Chapel is traditionally a state title contender in Virginia, and he will be one of the key pieces expected to propel them back to the promised land.

Obinna Chuke | Potomac School (VA)

A lanky 6-foot-5 wing with an intriguing blend of skill and potential, Chuke has shown signs that he can be a productive player at times. He gained some valuable experience this past season and should have the confidence to take the next step.

[player_tooltip player_id="954251" first="Max" last="Gregory"] | McLean School (MD)

On a McLean School squad littered with talented seniors, [player_tooltip player_id="954251" first="Max" last="Gregory"] was the lone junior who played a key role. A talented shot-maker who prides himself on outworking others, he is expected to see a major uptick in usage and should be able to deliver.

[player_tooltip player_id="902080" first="Damion" last="Harris"] | Bladensburg (MD)

The jump that [player_tooltip player_id="902080" first="Damion" last="Harris"] made from his sophomore to junior year was commendable. With the loss of [player_tooltip player_id="954068" first="Joseph" last="Lovelace"], Harris will be asked to take on an even bigger role next season, and he should be ready to make another leap.

[player_tooltip player_id="836513" first="Jabril" last="Robinson"] | Richard Montgomery (MD)

Within the last 12 months, [player_tooltip player_id="836513" first="Jabril" last="Robinson"] earned an All-Star Spot at the Capitol Hoops Summer League then proceeded to lead RM on a remarkable run that was cut short by the quarantine. He should pick up right where he left off for a sneaky-good team.

Will Scherer | Gonzaga (DC)

It’s been a while since Gonzaga has featured a true big man, but it appears Scherer will have an opportunity to contribute next season. The mobile 6-foot-9 big man, who boasts a good frame, will bring a different dimension to Steve Turner’s squad.

Sage Uwemedimo | Bishop Ireton (VA)

Uwemedimo is without a doubt one of the best-kept secrets in the area and is poised for a breakout. Standing at 6-foot-5, he’s an uber-athletic wing who has developed into a nice all-around player over the last 3 seasons.

Nick Wilson | Sherwood (MD)

Sherwood is a hidden gem in Montgomery County. Standing at 6-foot-5 and some change, he’s a sharpshooter who will continue to improve as his frame fills out. Keep an eye on him next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="902086" first="Alfred" last="Worrell Jr."] | Archbishop Carroll (DC)

Some would say last season was [player_tooltip player_id="902086" first="Alfred" last="Worrell Jr."]’s breakout campaign, and the argument would be valid as he finished top-five in the area in scoring for a much-improved Blair team. But if he can produce in the WCAC, that will elevate his profile to another level. It’ll be fun to see what Worrell can do at Carroll.
