A series of top players from the eastern side of the state continues as I now move on to the rising juniors in the class of 2022 . College coaches: sure to check out the site for a four part list of names to know in the 2021 class. The class of 2022 is not quite as talented top to bottom as the 2021 group, but there are still several college prospects worth knowing about.

2022 6’6 SF [player_tooltip player_id="674423" first="Jayden" last="Stevens"] (Gonzaga Prep) is a player that was in the top 5 in his freshman season. It was difficult early on to get a clear report on his game as he played behind so many experienced and talented players, but you could see the potential was there. Moving forward to his sophomore season, Stevens had some bright moments, but expectations have exponentially risen for his upcoming junior season. He has good size on the wing, solid skill on the perimeter and above average athleticism. He has real potential as a 6’6 slasher that can impact the game on both sides of the ball. If he can put it all together and remain consistent throughout the season, Stevens could see his stock rise once again.

2022 6’1 CG [player_tooltip player_id="674442" first="Claysen" last="Delp"] (Zillah HS) can get hot from the three line with the best of them! One thing I always look for from prospects is a translatable skill to the next level and Delp has that with his effortless shooting range. He can also handle the ball and attack the paint some as well. A prospect that would be a nice fit for a school at the right level.

2022 6’0 PG [player_tooltip player_id="933892" first="Tayshawn" last="Colvin"] (Liberty HS) is a player that just keeps on getting better. A 1st team all state and state MVP level player at the 2b classification. Colvin is gritty, crafty and skilled on the floor. Some schools should be getting in contact with him more for those three characteristics that he possesses. Colvin has just about everything that you want from your point guard.

2022 6’1 CG [player_tooltip player_id="929627" first="Dylan" last="Darling"] (Central Valley HS was a sparkplug in the scoring department for the 4A runner-up finishers this past season. Darling can handle it like a point, but he is also an aggressive scorer that can create his own shot. This upcoming season will be big in determining his level as a prospect, but he will be able to play at some level of college.
