Under the Radar: Class of 2021 Forwards

<p>Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at a group of Class of 2021 forwards and post players who are operating under the radar.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="824171" first="Donnie Ray" last=" Brown"] 6’7" New Madrid Central: One of the top front court players in Southeast Missouri, the 240-pounder is a wide-body post with a solid skill set. He can score in the low post and can operate in the high post as a scorer and passer who can find the open man. He is also a very capable 3-point shooter who can really stretch the floor for a big.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="824173" first="Lucas" last="Morrison"] 6’9" Salem: A robust back to the basket post player who checks in at around 290 pounds and he knows how to operate around the basket. He can establish a wide base in the post and can catch the ball in traffic with his soft hands. He has a nice shooting touch that extends out to 15 feet.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="824168" first="Aaron" last="Hendricks"] 6’7" MICDS: A very bouncy lefty post that has been coming on strong in the past year. He is a solid rebounder and a good shot blocker with his length. His post moves have improved inside, but he also has a nice one-dribble move from the high post that results in a dunk. He also has a solid turnaround jumper over the right shoulder.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="985219" first="Charlie" last="Bronakowski"] 6’6" Boonville: One of the top forwards in Mid-Missouri, he is a versatile player who creates matchup problems with his size and skill set. He can knock down 3-pointers from the perimeter and get to the basket to score on tough drives. He is also tough around the rim with a variety of post moves and he will also pass well out of the double team.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="824191" first="Jason" last="Jones"] 6’6" Nixa: A skilled combo forward who really operates well out of the high and mid-post area. His turn and face game is excellent as he can knock down the 15 footer or drive by his defender and get buckets while going left or right. He can also find the open man with pinpoint passing.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="824180" first="Lance" last="Hackney"] 6’7" Lutheran-St. Charles: A big bodied post player who uses his size and strength well around the basket. He is an impressive offensive rebounder who gets good position and can go after the ball. He is an effective offensive player in the post who can score with both hands.</p>
