Over the next few weeks we will be taking a closer look at prospects across the state in alphabetical order. The A’s have a nice group of talent so let’s not waste any time and dive right in.

Concord First Assembly Senior Guard [player_tooltip player_id="833119" first="Ambaka" last="Le Gregam"]: The Presbyterian College signee started off his high school career in NC at Freedom Christian but would finish at CFA and was one of the reasons why they were able to bring home a state championship. He’s crafty with the ball which allows him to break down defenders and once he gets going scoring wise, he can fill up the stat sheet with buckets.

Lexington HS Senior Forward [player_tooltip player_id="833124" first="Alex" last="Holt"]: All you have to do is take a look at his stats from this season to see what type of impact he made on games on a nightly basis. 18 Points & 18 Rebounds a night is what Mr. Holt brought to the table for his team, he plays the game in a physical manner and we feel that once he gets to HPU he will only get better and will see success early on.

Athens Drive Senior Guard AJ Thompson: CFCC got a good one in this young man, he’s improved greatly over the last few years and should see a nice amount of recruitment over the next two years. He has shown the ability to score the ball in numerous ways, breaking down his man off the dribble as well as knocking down the outside shot. He has all the tools to be just as good of a player on the defensive side of the ball as he is offensively.

Fayetteville Academy Sophmore Wing [player_tooltip player_id="787670" first="Amari" last="Pearson"]: Every coach loves to have A player like this on their team, he brings high energy every time he steps on the floor as well as the ability to rebound and score. Athleticism is what grabs your attention about him early on, he makes plays above the rim on both ends and is continuing to develop as a player.

Garner HS Sophomore Forward [player_tooltip player_id="577885" first="Asa" last="White"]: He’s a player that has been on the radar for numerous years, showcasing his skill and upside as a middle schooler. A legit 6’7 with a long wingspan and the ability to play inside and out, it doesn’t take long to see why there is plenty of buzz going on with him already. His numbers from this season may not scream at you but the talent and potential he has is clear.
