Last Thursday night I went to Skyline Prep to view the Pangos Best of Arizona League ran by Dinos Trigonis of CA.

He has 8 talented teams of 8-10 players on each team. (Some were out of town in CA and didn’t attend this week).

And they will be competing for around 3 weeks on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Each team plays once a night and eventually every team will play each team once.

I will review all 8 teams’ standouts this week.

We now look at the Suns:

[player_tooltip player_id="814039" first="Mark" last="Brown"] (Mountain Pointe) (Pictured)

-A natural scorer from the lead guard spot with a tight handle. He is a good passer in traffic and is very strong to get downhill. His pull-up is one of the better in the class and he does it from mid to the 3pt line. His strength, skill and court vision are on display every outing.

[player_tooltip player_id="826994" first="Adrame" last="Diongue"] (Bella Vista Prep)

-A big time shot blocker and has a nice face-up game. He can shoot it from elbow and in and he is a very fluid athlete in the open court. He seems to spring up in a blink of an eye to rebound or dunk it and especially to block a shot. He has great length and runs the floor like a wing.

[player_tooltip player_id="932567" first="Youssouf" last="Singare"] (Bella Vista Prep)

-Diongue's running mate in HS is just as dangerous as a shot blocker. He is a little thicker and runs well too. He has great length and rebounds everything. His offensive game is slowly coming around. He shows a decent FT touch and is starting to face-up from the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id="831116" first="Landon" last="Schumaker"] (AZ Compass Prep)

-A skilled forward who is an excellent passer and is extending his range out to the 3pt line. He works well inside the paint and has multiple post moves to utilize. He is mostly under the rim but smart and crafty. He has very good hands to rebound and makes good reads on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="994323" first="Bobby" last="Hurley Jr"] (Notre Dame Prep)

-A cerebral guard who likes to defend. He isn't afraid of guarding anyone on the court. He is a good floor general and looks to make the right play. He hit some 3's Tuesday night showing off his range.

[player_tooltip player_id="994327" first="Preston" last="Olney"] (Coconino)

-A tough undersized guard from Flagstaff. He is fearless on the court and takes it right at the the bigs and can score through contact. He is an aggressive defender and gives his all every possession.
